The Steelers have lost two games in a row. They now have a record of 3-2 for the season. The Steelers offense take too long before their offense start to make consistent plays in the middle of the field. Steelers zone defense gets them in trouble, when they blitz and don't get a hit on the quarterback on time. This team is still good. They are tied with the Ravens for 1st place in the AFC North. They just have to play better on offense. But that Elandon Roberts forced fumble on Rico Dowdle is in my top five of forced fumbles that I ever seen. If Miles Killebrew recovers that, then the Steelers win. And even if the Steelers won last night, some people would still call them pretenders. Lol

I don't agree that this team is good. It's the opposite actually. Our free agent pickups at SS, CB and ILB have been disappointing to say the least. The D line is gashed by journeyman RBs and O lines with backups like what Cowboys had last night. The defense went from being one of the NFL's best to one of the worst in 2 weeks. The O line will continue to be inconsistent and give us 3 and outs, like last night. Steelers also have no clear #2 WR which is killing the Steelers on 2nd and 3rd downs.

Steichen, HC of Colts provided the blueprint on how to rack up yardage on the overrated Steelers D. Now, the rest of our opponents will run the same game plan on D until the offense can be consistent in throwing the ball to move the sticks on 3rd down.

That was Roberts that caused that fumble, not Queen

The Mike Tomlin Steelers; neither bad, nor good, but utterly mediocre.

He doesn't have losing seasons but also has no chance at a Lombardi.

I loved Patrick McQueen in Bullitt! Almost as good as Steve Swayze in Roadhouse.

Hopefully, the Commanders will continue their ownership of the AFC North next week.

Not only did I name the wrong player. But I said Queen's last name wrong. This is what happens when you go to bed at 1 am after being a dedicated Steelers fan and watching them, when you have to wake up at 6 am for work. My bad.

What part of us having numerous injuries do people not understand? You could see the difference in the pressure when Herbig went out. You could see the difference last week when Highsmith was gone. My god, we have Edmunds playing again!! If you watched the video of Watt last night at the end of the game, the guy was spent. Because of injury, he has to play way more. You are wrong, they are a good team, they are not a great team right now. They were in the game all night, did you happen to watch any of the Browns, Jets or Seattle game yesterday? The Bills maybe? You have to look at the league and understand that teams go through injuries during a 17 game season. This team has not jelled yet and have been flying by the seat of their pants all summer trying to build something. Some of our fans sound like a bunch of soccer moms complaining from the stands at a middle school game.

No problem. It was an awesome play by Roberts, but unfortunately they couldn't recover the fumble

True. They might make a move at the trade deadline but I don't want to see them giving up prime picks for one.

Fields is not good at scanning the field and has issues reading defenses and stares down his receiver. 1st read covered then panic, taking off. I believe Smith calls plays to certain players where the ball will be thrown to minimize his shortcomings. This is why he cannot audible and go off script.

Your injury theory is invalid. The Colts and Cowboys have just as many if not more injuries than the Steelers. Colts were without their starting QB for most of the game and Cowboys were without their 2 best defensive players.

Soccer moms will agree with me.

Why can't the Steelers win games with backups? Seems like other teams adapt and overcome injuries to key players and end up winning games... but the Steelers haven't been able to do this in years. We lose Watt, Heyward or Fitz.... and this team is toast. Also holds true with Frazier, Moore or Pickens. We lose any of those players anytime soon.... stick a fork in the Steelers, they are done.

Again, you have to understand how some injuries can affect some teams more than others depending on the position and the player. The game last night involved two teams with a lot of injuries and the game came down to a 4th and goal play to decide the game. It simply does not get closer than that. If we stop the play or fall on the fumble we win, that is what a close game looks like. The Monday whining is so deep, the world has come to an end bla bla bla. I remember back when the team didn’t take the field in Chicago for the anthem and all the peril clutches swore an oath to never support the team again. I thought a bunch of season ticket licenses would become available, but nothing surfaced. Hell, back when Rooney became Obama’s ambassador to Ireland all the crazies swore they would never follow the team again, well it’s still a sell out and have 4-5 national games each year.

If our Offense could just be a middle of the pack Offense....we could be very good.

The Colts like the Browns last year....backup Qb is better than the starter....., or did you miss the other 3 tds that Flacco threw yesterday. Hell one more game as a Colts Qb, and He will have more tds than their starter has his whole career in the NFL.

So the Cowboys without Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence did not have as much effect as Steelers without Highsmith last few games and Herbig in 4th quarter last night?

The Cowboys situation is equivalent to the Steelers being without Cam Heyward and TJ Watt. But yet, the Cowboys D performed good enough to limit the Steelers to 17 points and win the game. So again... your theories are not valid at all. The Steelers do not get a pass on these losses just because Alex Highsmith is injured and in street clothes.

Don't lump me in with the morons who went ape sh!t over Kaepernick and the kneeling thing. Hell... I wish Steelers would have had Kaepernick at QB in 2019 instead of Duck and Rudolph.

The Steelers also do not have a 60 million dollar QB and a 36 million dollar receiver. Right?

I certainly don't want to see it but I'd make a sizeable wager he does not finish .500 or better this season.

Wonder if a Casino would take a bet like that?

I noticed that too. Frigging Patriots would grab guys you forgot about and they'd produce. You hear the announcers praising guys all the time how they stepped up when called upon. Steelers not so much. They gave a little praise to Mason last season but that is about it.

That is so true but it was not always that way as you know. They always in most cases found a way to win the game because they had people who could take the place of an injured player because they also were coached the same way. That not happening to the full extent.

No, but they have a QB who led his former team to 2 Super Bowls and won 1 and our current starting QB was drafted early in the first round by Bears in 2021.

Prescott is a good, but not elite QB who can't carry his team on his back like Mahomes and Burrow. Steelers D should have been able to limit Cowboys offense to 10 points or less. It didn't happen.

Broncos picked up the tab on Russ's contract....which is about as much as Dak's.

I would bet Myles Garret and PFF would argue with you that almost does count. Garret was able to use his PFF Stats of 'Almost" getting a sack to win DPOY last year. :)

3 Turnovers and a blocked FG; I am not blaming that loss on the Defense.
