Mitch Trubisky was shown the door in Pittsburgh after two years and a 64% completion percentage. DeShaun Watson has a 59.8% completion percentage as a Brown.
Also, Watson was ranked 31st among NFL quarterbacks after four games.
Granted the Stains’ oline has been banged up early, but I guess this shows that genius at running truck stops does not necessarily equal genius at running a football team.

Meanwhile Baker Mayfield is playing great football right now. Just another example of the Browns doing Browns things and ending up with Browns results.

I think Watson’s cap hit for each of the next two seasons (2025 and 2026) is something like $70 million per season.

Good luck with that Browns :roflmao::drinks:

Yep! I could have added that Baker has a 112+ qb rating, making him about five DeShaun Watsons.
Also, Watson’s cap hits are somewhere between ridiculous and astronomical. There was a window of opportunity for the Browns to win with Watson. That appears to be closing. On their fingers.

And yet Browns fans stick by them. I almost admire them.

Ok I couldn’t even type that with a straight face.

Baker wasn’t outstanding at Cleveland and it took him 3 more years to finally get his act together

I don’t blame Cleveland for moving on

Baker was very immature at Cleveland

And yet.....if You go back to that time....about half the fans on this board wanted him, and I can remember people calling me crazy for not wanting Him, but I never thought He was good. One good year doesn't make You a good Qb.....especially one you throw that much money at. Of course I was told that it was all the Texans fault. LoL

Bengals take the lead. Burrow takes a big shot standing in there. 41 yards to Chase

Browns being torn a new bodily opening by the WTFs, down by three touchdowns at the half. Edit: now being torn an even larger new bodily opening late in the fourth.
Bungholes ten up over the Flying Rats early in the fourth quarter.
So far this Sunday, things are all breaking the Stillers’ way. One can only hope it holds and they beat the Cryboys.

I'm thinking they should just quit and go watch their baseball team.

Not saying I wanted him, but he had 3 good years in Houston. He was also a good prospect. Lets not start making stuff up here.
Cleveland is dumb for giving him the deal they did, but he was a good QB in Houston.

Ok. I don't know where you get 3 good years.
So did Russell Wilson have a good year last year???
And You were one who most definitely wanted him(DeShawn Watson)You even called me out about not wanting him, but I see your reluctance to say now you did. LoL

Stefanski says they are not changing quarterbacks. I wonder how long that stance will last. Or, for that matter, how long Stefanski will last. He won’t necessarily be out of work for long, as the Stains head coaching job is an excellent stepping stone to a coordinator job elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the Browns fans are on collective suicide watch and they would drown themselves in the river like lemmings if the fire department could figure out a way to put it out.

I understand from news reports that off the field, Watson is a receiver.
