I can't say it is a surprise but still disappointing. Hopefully, he will be back for the game against the Cowboys. They could use a smart veteran like him with all the injuries and inexperience up front.

RB Shampklin was elevated along with DB Graham.

Agreed. Khan's drafts have been outstanding, but I think that was a mistake. That doesn't mean I'm giving up on the guy just because he got hurt again. I'm still hoping he and Jones are the starting tackles next year. I just think they would have been better off with Mitchell.

Somehow, elevating Thomas Graham brings me no comfort. Oh, right. That's because I never heard of him until five minutes ago. He has barely played since the Bears drafted him in 2021, though he did get one start for them in 2022.

Highsmith is still out. "Participation is the guide" for Warren, Pruitt, and Patterson. He said Herbig and Benton finished the game but might be limited in practice this week.

"I'm excited about the potential of having Isaac back in the lineup," Tomlin said of Seumalu.

If Patterson and Warren can't go, that's a big loss against a depleted Dallas defense that can't stop the run. Seumalu's return could help them take advantage of that. Herbig is also big simply because they need his pass rush opposite Watt even if he is struggling against the run.

I suggested in another thread they should play Leal on early downs, bring Herbig in on passing downs not likely to happen though.

If it's third and long which is a passing down, you want Herbig rushing the QB not Leal.

You read that Leal is out there for short yardage downs, and Herbig is out there for everything else. Try reading the post again.

Why do you think 3rd and 10 would be a short yardage down???

1st and 10 I want Herbig on the field.

Looking more and more like Warren and Patterson won't play, but Seumalo will return.

On the other hand, Micah Parsons didn't practice for the Cowboys today and Demarcus Lawrence is on IR.

Yes, and Cooks is out too.

Am I the only one that feels like Shampklin might show something, if given a real opportunity?

Three players could be back from ir this week, Cook, Lee and Moon. In Addition Cole Holcumb could come off Pup List. Next week we could see Tyler Matakevich and Ben Skowornek. in week 8 Tice and suspended Sutton

They have 52 on the active roster right now so I'm guessing someone is being activated from IR.
