Steelers Throwback Socks

I apologize if this isn't the appropriate forum to ask this question, but I've come up empty asking elsewhere, so I thought I'd put this to the Steelers fan braintrust....

Who manufactures the throwback socks, and are they available for purchase anywhere? I'm coming from the West Coast for the Ravens game and am looking to be as suited up as possible.

Thanks for looking. I had seen both of those already posted, and they didn't seem like the 'real deal.' Oh well, there's only so 'authentic' I need to be given that I won't be playing in the game (unless the injuries REALLY mount up and they're forced to go looking to the stands for people wearing the throwbacks. Since I'll be wearing a Harrison jersey, I can only suspect I'll be held on every play just from reputation).

I know what you're saying the color doesn't look quite right on the ebay ones.

 

I'd check the local halloween store. Probably pick up a whole Bumble bee outfit for half off.

You probably want to look for a rugby sock in a bumblebee style. A quick search finds black and gold ones but it is gold stripes on a black sock and the throwbacks are the reverse. Found this site that looks to be able to make what you need but you probably wouldn't get them in time and they would be slightly different.

Rugby suppliers might be your best bet. I haven't been able to find a gold sock with black stripes, but I found the following site that looks like they could make it:

Don't think you would get them in time though and the style would be slightly different then the actual ones but they are close.

 

Thanks for all the advice. All good ideas that I will pursue.....until that point when I realize I'm spending WAY too much time trying to find really ugly socks that I'll probably only wear once....

Ok, where did you find these? My wife would look good in these. She also looks good out of them.....

 

They were on LTDCommodities.com. I was buying a runner for my kitchen and they were on the side bar. They only have Colts left. I googled to see if I can find them elsewhere an found these on fanatics.com

Their much cheaper (used) out of California ..San Quentin.

I noticed we haven't talked about socks for a while so I decided to bring this back up before Christmas.
