Khan's black eye. Give me DJ as WR #1, and being on the clock at #20 with all CBs still available.

They thought they could find a viable replacement. So far, they have failed. That they tried to spend picks and money on Aiyuk makes it clear they know the current receiver group is not nearly good enough.

I think it is on DJ as much as Pickett. He is soft, as evidenced by him running backwards half the time.

I have a hard time forgetting all the drops. Who cares if he gets open if he whiffs on ball when wide-open. Happened way too freqeuntly for a WR1 or WR2. Add in the obvious attitude problem and social media distractions and he needed to go....BADLY.

I agree WR room is thin and lacking, but that can change rapidly. We'll always have a weakness somewhere on the roster and right now, its WR and OL (though that has lots of potential as the season progresses, but expecting poor start for the OL).

DJ finally had a chance to score one touchdown in the last game of 2022

All he had to do after the catch was run into the end zone

But noooooo he ran backwards and got tackled

Zero touchdowns on the year and 5 in in two years

Khan would have to have been an idiot to have kept that pile of garbage

The dropped balls, which seemed to improve but still happened. The running backwards, which may have worked in college, but cost a lot of first downs as a pro. in his last year I could understand the frustration, hell with Canada and KP everyone was, but quitting on plays was the last straw.
