That defense had no playmakers, they couldn't stop Fournette in both meetings that year.

Say this about Fields, he absolutely picked the right jersey number. Coz he will always be a 2 qb. And that being said is generous

And Rattler should wear jersey #3, because that's all he will ever be a 3rd QB.

He did have a pretty good pre-season. In fact one of the Saints beat writers stated that it wouldn't surprise him to see Rattler as the starter halfway through the year.

I never stated that he shouldve been starting for the Steelers this yr. It would’ve been nice to have drafted him and let him sit n learn behind Russ. If you watch film on Rattler when he scrambles he always has his head up looking downfield, just like Ben used to do.
You cant judge him on that poor o line the Gamecocks had either. I think he is going to be a starter in the NFL at some point. Carr is going to get crushed playing behind the Saints porous O line they have.

People tend to forget Rattler was a close second behind Caleb to start college football.

He has the tools. Not expecting him to be a HOF coming out the gates. I just think he is going to be a starter.

AGREED, especially on MT who IMO is vastly overrated. MT isn't terrible but he's hardly a "great HC." Not that I'm an Xs/Os maven but MT's stubbornness is remarkable. Was last season's rehiring of the previous O.C. an outlier or just part of MT's M.O? Give me a break.

I have gone back and forth on Tomlin over the years. If the offensive line isn’t truly fixed this year and we don’t win a playoff game then I do think it is time to consider moving on from him. I highly doubt we could trade him. I am sure he has a clause in his contract but if we could actually trade him and TJ and cut bait with Cam I would possibly consider that. I love those guys but we would essentially be starting over and in fairness to those guys I think it is the right thing to do to let them go play for a contender.

The draft capital we could get would be insane. I would assume at minimum 3 firsts and a couple seconds and maybe some players.

The injuries was a factor but it dont excuse the all-time bad gameplan by the coaching staff in that game.If they would play a soft zone in that game it would been a easy win

    The defense plan was fine

Mundy repeatedly bit on the fake run and left his zone

    Repeatedly

If I remember correctly he was released within days

If Ryan Clark played....we win. Mundy was messing up so bad that game He had others out of position trying to help matters , and it made it worse

I thought it was Ike Taylor that was beat on the end of game pass and catch?
