Since we're all fans, and I don't want to speak for anyone but I will assume we all want the Steelers to return to the former glory days..... How do we do it (in your opinion)?

Attack it from any angle (Tomlin stays, Tomlin is fired, complete revamp of personnel, minimal personnel changes, you decide). What do you do?

Qb will be very important no matter who is the HC, or on the coaching staff. A. Reid, Bill Belichick, Bill Cowher, and Chuck Noll....just to name a few great coach's have shown this.
Yes some have won a SB with not much of a Qb, but that percentage compared to the other is very , very ,very low.

The Bears went to the SB with Rex Grossman! Tampa went with Brad Johnson! Trent Dilfer took the Ravens!

It's more than ya think! I mostly agree with you, just pointing out that I feel the coaching staff in numero uno!

I will say this, great coaches surround themselves with great assistants and delegate. They also utilize every ounce of talent and use their (specific skill sets) to shape their game plans and strategy.

Ditka won with McMahon and a team that was afraid to mess up and/or make a mistake because of his temper and reputation. Lots of different coaching styles have won SBs. Lots of different philosophies have also. There is more than one path yet every path requires more than a little luck as well.

Tampa only won because the coach knew the team since he coached them the year before.....what did He do with that team after that???, Grossman lost to Manning, Dilfer is the only legitimate one You brought up. Like I said compared to Brady, Mahomes, Ben, Both Mannings.....that's just 5 guys, and what??? 22 SBs just from those 5 Qbs.

Im going to recommend HC change, as he is the only common denominator. We have had players come n go with the same results year after year. Yes, its nice we havent had a losing season , but we are no where near being a perinnial powerhouse of days gone by. We havent won a playoff game since 2016.
Housekeeping is necessary at this point. I know a few are going to say this is needless bashing of our HC, but he had a nice run, time to move on with a different perspective. This same ole same ole philosophy hasnt been working. Go Steelers!

Yes! All of those guys had some of the greatest HCs of all time too ;)

I didn't even bring up the fact that the greatest QB of all time can play on anytime with a very bad O Line (like ours) and can't do squat!

Dan Marino, Fran Tarkenton, Jim Kelly, Warren Moon, Steve Mcnair, D Mcnabb.... some of the greatest of all time... No ring! None of them!

My friend, its not just qb we need. We had the killer Bs and we failed miserably with the talent we had. Somehow, somewhere the HC and his staff has to take responsibility, or are we going to keep blaming the players?

Dan Marino.....had not one , but two HOF HCs, and no SB wins. Let's not act like We haven't been to two SB under this HC.

Look, shades had a good 5 yr run…the last 12 have been like his record…Mediocre. What am I missing here? Good God. I understand loyalty, but if someone keeps cutting down my rose bushes, somethings gotta change.

And when We stop making the playoffs....I will be ready for a new HC. Just Like I felt about Cowher. I can't tell You how many people said Cowher would never win the big one....because He couldn't.....90% of those same people will not admit they said that.....why???? Because they were wrong. Now many of those same people want Cowher back. LoL

Also, are we going to continue to live in the past with his 2 SB appearances? Have you ever heard what have you done lately? Im very appreciative of what he has done, but I’m not satisfied with average year after year

So why did A. Reid get another chance, Sean Payton......One never win a SB in the same amount of time, and the other one won one.....Yet people say they are Genius HCs.

Agreed, let coach T go somewhere else and coach, might be beneficial for both parties! People think Tomlin is a genius HC ! Really?

My friend. Read better. I said people think A. Reid , and Sean Peyton are genius. Yet One was HC as long as Tomlin, and won no Sbs, and the other only won one with Brees, and what other Qbs has he developed???

If i was you, i would take the under 8.5. Coz we didn’t improve that qb room at all. Did you watch the breakdowns? Fields is as bad as KFP, yet some are clamoring for him to start! Oh, I forgot Fields can run.

I did read, the point is both coaches moved on from their former teams. And they did better with different scenery, maybe Coach T will find success in a different setting.

They got fired. I mean I keep hearing about how great Sean P is at developing Qbs.....,, but nobody can show me one Qb He developed. Brees play about the same amount of time before He was with him, as Ben did before Tomlin.

So those coaches that won without a great QB must be the greatest coaches of all time

Dilfer worst Qb to ever win a SB! Ravens had killer defense that yr and Dilfer was definitely just a game manager. Please dont think Trent!

No....a Guy like Gibbs who won with 3 different Qbs should be.
How many SBs did Chuck Noll win without Bradshaw, Bill Belichick without Brady, Sean P without Brees, A. Reid without Mahomes, Cowher, and Tomlin without Ben, Walsh without Montana.....that's just a small sample of HCs, but about what....24 SBs??? Yes people can bring up outliers, but just that little bit of HCs, and Qbs, and that's about 24 SBs, and I didn't even bring up the Mannings.
