Do you think Khan will make any last minute trades to get some players off teams before they are cut?

Last year Khan was a seller in trading both Kendrick Green and Kevin Dotson before the deadline.

Is there a WR on a roster bubble somewhere? We already missed our chance on Jahan Dotson.

As for me... Buy Buy Buy.
    1) An overpriced lineman on the last year of his contract for a 6th or 7th
    2) A Starting WR for a mid value pick.

Forget about Aiyuk. GO make a sensible trade for an Alec Pierce or Noah Brown. Extend Friermuth and Heyward (to a reasonable) contract and go buy an OL Coach.

I would imagine a potential depth OLB, C, or slot CB could be in the works. WR is a potential too, but it would have to be a trade, we have enough guys in the 4-5 mold. We'd need a true #2 or starting slot WR.

I'm thinking they may look at the TE ranks to add a proven blocker if Washington and Muth seem to struggle. Heyward is a tweener so Smith may want a known quanity. I don't think they go wr route as far as trade they are still hanging on the BA possibility and there are plenty of unemployed former Steelers looking for a spot.

LOL, yeah I got that now.

I wonder of Kendrick Green makes the Texans roster this year?

I don't think buy is in the cards, but would not be surprised if some cuts of WR (especially vets) get some attention. Our room is not only thin, it sucks within the thinness.

I think he does make the team, might be a PS candidate but OL as a known quanity is something most teams want. He played well enough with all their injuries last year that he becomes a low cost option.

I’m afraid we are stuck on the Meyer bus for 2024. A change now may be too disruptive for an already struggling OL

Yeah at this point I'd advocate for contacting Faneca as quality control coach and quietly shrinking Meyer's duties. No clue if Faneca is interested in coaching but he'd have a positive affect I'm sure.

wait and see what's out there after the cuts. no use giving up anything if we don't have to. if nothing is there go to the backup plan. miller has not been looking bad and neither has jefferson so far. keep a qb upright and we could gauge what we have a lot better. bring in a #2 and we still can't get the ball to him, what have we really added?

how much coaching can meyer do with injured players? we can't gauge what he does if the players can't practice or do what he's coaching them to do. moore has looked pretty good. jones not so much. troy can't even practice. cook isn't practicing. what is meyer or any new coach supposed to do under these circumstances. throw blame at the wrong spot i guess but that will solve nothing.

I made that comment knowing its obviously to late to make a change at the OL Coaching position.

Mac that is very true "currently" but his performance review for his tenure is at the average to below average mark. Some of that is spread around to Tomlin and Canada last season with keeping Chuks and Moore as starters but the improvement by Green and Dotson in new programs tends to skew towards in inadequacy of his duties.

Miller has looked good but that's a heck of a way to start the season with Scotty Miller as your second best WR. So yeah I also think that we will comb the waiver wire for other options.

It has to be driving some fans crazy that Dan Moore has looked like the best player on the O-Line this preseason.

Dan Moore is lacking in pass protection(other than vs Myles Garrett). But he excels in the run game.

Pittsburgh is going to have no choice but to buy at certain positions; tomorrow's game being irrelevant. A Veteran Center option is now very much on the table as there is no available option behind the likes of Frazier should anything horrible happen to him. Slot CB is still in dire need of an answer for Beanie Bishop Jr., once the incumbent, has fell off a bit to the point where Teryl Austin has basically stated the position is wide open. Biggest on the list though is WR; Aiyuk being the talk of the town.

If not him?! Look around the wavier wire to see what can be found via a trade. John Metchie III is my current incumbent for the Steelers Brass know him very well after meeting with him at the Alabama Pro Day and Tomlin sure does enjoy having familiarity with players he knows quite well. Another option could be the likes of Darius Slayton... although who knows if New York would be willing to deal favorably. Last option could be having Pat Freiermuth a lot more involved in the passing game; holding out long enough so that the likes of Roman Wilson can return to action as soon as possible given the fact that Wilson was a hand in glove fit for Smith's Offense

He hasn't been lacking thus far; going against the likes of Will Anderson, Danielle Hunter and AJ Epenesa, to name a few.
