That sucks we can’t afford to lose offensive contributors because we have so few. Can’t rush a hammy on a RB though or else it will linger all year.

Perrine or Ward probably makes the 53 to begin the season.

The one guy on offense that everyone likes...... Pretty much every other offensive player has some naysayers or someone with critical critique for. But nobody really says anything bad on these boards about Warren. Sucks that he got injured. Hopefully he has a speedy and complete recovery.

I believe that is his 1st injury for the Steelers that will keep him out of games.

Why is this, maybe because of his humbleness and just doing his job. And getting paid handsomely for
doing a job that these players should love doing.

This is not a big deal if he is out for only 1-2 games....Every teams will have injuries,if we can't survive to lose one of our top 2 RB,we are just not good

Hamstring injuries are tough to calculate. Hopefully he can get back sooner then later but I doubt it. Its a major blow to the Offense. Glad it isn't season ending. Really like the kids motor and has a nice burst and can fly in the open field.

Not everyone. Some chastised him for the fumble in the rain saying he can't be trusted in inclement weather.

    agreed

    let him rest.

Najee should be able to tote it for 25 carries - PROVIDED we can move the chains.....

not sure how our next in line kid looks - anyone have good vision into him / them?

Regardless - with this SUCK OLINE at this point, you can put Earl Campbell back there and it won't matter.

Patterson and Perrine are the next 2 guys on the depth chart. Perrine ran the ball pretty well against the Bills the other night and Patterson is a jack of all trades type of back. They should be able to do the job until Warren is healthy.

what is wards status? he was injured in the week 1 game. he ran well until the injury. corderrelle is the only RB that hasn't looked too good so far. edwards looks like he may be for real. pass protection? hard to tell about that for a rookie. that is where jaylon showed his worth early.

Other than possibly Pickens, that's true. The Steelers are one of the few teams in the NFL that don't have at least one "star" player on offense, so when a productive player like Warren goes down, it's going to hurt. In fact, do we have even one player on offense that's top 10 at his respective position? It doesn't really matter who the OC is, or what kind of system he implements if you don't have the talent to go with it

Is it me or do we seemingly suffer from disproportionately more hamstring injuries than other teams? I swear our field contributes to it but it was brand new looking and I assume since its summer that grass is firmly down and not new in any way. We talked a bit about this with our strength and conditioning coach last year, but we have a new guy this year correct.

they have 2 - 3 stars on offense.

Pickens for sure, Warren and Harris too.

Put them on the Chiefs or Bills and they are Pro-Bowlers, and a host of other teams, for that matter.

they have been stymied by Tomlin and Co......

Great players tend to make great Coaches.

What the heck you mean we don't have a "star" on offense? We have a frigging 9 time Pro-Bowler under center.;+) And we all know that 35 is the new 25.:rolleye:

What I mean by "star" is top 5 or 6 player at their respective position. Wilson WAS a star player, but that was a few years back. The Broncos paid him 40 million to NOT play for them, that tells you everything you need to know about Wilson

    he was teasing you ;)

but we do have 2-3 stars on this offense. if on a better team, they'd be pro bowlers or close to it. Pickens, working toward ALL PRO talent.

Oh ok, thanks for the heads up. I wasn't sure if he was just pulling my chain or if he was serious :lolol:

Anyway, Warren, Harris, and Pickens are all good players, and I agree that Pickens has star potential, but I don't think any of those guys are truly elite NFL players (or stars), at least not yet
