Best thing about the offense last night...



I hope this is sign to come....

 

I'm sure the steelers are going to be a true running team but I'm also confident the steelers are going to try a lot of big plays this year with their passing game and not just on a go route on the sidelines but also on like 20 yards in the middle of the field on a play action and things like that....Since 2019, when he was with the titans OC or Falcons HC, each of his QBs was high in the NFL for yards per air attempts with an old Matt Ryan as an exception in 2021...I have hope we'll be able to have big plays in offense too if Wilson is able to hit them

 

not sure we will even see all this offense will be until week one and beyond.

 

Yeah, and we won't need to go restock the beer fridge when the Steelers are on offense, like we did under Canada.

 

Let's give the guy a chance, it is preseason. Team/s have many moving pieces to evaluate.
Many starters are not playing much. I admit the players need to start ramping up for
the regular season. Brutal division/ schedule on the horizon. I hope MT and the players /coaches
know the urgency? Expectations are high for this team in Western Pa.

 

Well, Arthur Smith must be saving these "big plays" for the regular season, because we haven't seen him take many deep shots downfield thus far. Fields went deep once in the end zone yesterday, and the ball was badly overthrown. So far it looks like more "small ball" ala Canada

 

I have no idea why expectations are high they don’t have a QB and the worst WR room in the NFL??

miller, jefferson, fitzpatrick have not looked bad. we have nobody to distribute the ball downfield.

 

Always some excuse with this team. Oh we don’t have a QB, our OC sucks, Defense can’t get off the field 3rd down, our special team sucks. At what point can we just say Tomlin friggin stinks at running a team. Every year the roster changes, the staff changes and the same result. 1 position never changes.

 

Doom and gloom in preseason. Complete opposite of last year.

 

I've been saying this for years, but nobody in the Steelers organization seems to be listening

I think people are finally starting to realize that this team is going nowhere as long as Tomlin is running the show

 

Yea its like a Merry Go Round. No worries when the Winning Season Trophy is hoisted it will be we need to do this, we need to do that better from the owner and head coach. Providing they get that trophy.

 

Folks are in for an awakening. They will be in contention for first in division as well as best record in AFC. Same preseason Andys every year. The Defense will be remarkably improved with the addition of a ball control offense. You wont stop the offensive running game. You don't need to waste the future on that SF dude. ...what a mistake that would have been.

This offense is going to be built on the run game and playaction...

Broderick Jones is the better run blocker over Dan Moore.

 

They were 10-7 last year with Canada, their roster I believe has improved with quality
depth at many positions.
