We were a playoff team because our defense kept us in enough games for our anemic offense to outscore. The defense closed out games against the Ravens, Bengals, Packers, Raiders, Rams, Titans, and flat out won us the first Browns game by outscoring our offense. Lets hope our offense can help the defensive unit out a bit more this year.

Damn! I knew we were not an offensive juggernaut but didn't realize we were that embarrassing. Defense deserves a ton of credit pass two years. Actually making me pumped for 2024.

Yeah in 2022 we threw 5 TD passes to WR's, and in today's NFL to boot. It is.... embarrassing to say the least.

We have 2 QB's better than Pickett (potentially 3). Rudolph put together a few quality games for us to close the season out, but I think our group is as good as its been in a number of years. We have a proven vet that is a touch past his prime but still has a bit of football left, a young guy who has proven that he can put points up at an NFL level but just needs to gain a bit of consistency, and a career back up with more starting experience than Rudolph who has a decent enough track record should an apocalyptic scenario plague our QB room. We are fine.

The defense needs to stay healthy obviously, but we have playmakers at every level. High end ILB and OLB, Elite OLB and FS, a young CB that looks to be a high end lock down guy in short order... We just need to put a few points up.

The chances of this happening are slim and none.

I hope Russell Wilson plays better once the season starts, but I really cannot get past his height or lack thereof. A taller QB does not always translate to success, but it does give him an advantage if he has potential.

one look and run. where have we seen this before? JF knows this is his best ability. that's fine but it won't carry the team game in and game out. i still say kyle allen has looked as good as any of them.:cool:

Be it Wilson or Fields, none of that matters if the Offensive Line cannot block worth a damn sans a Rookie Center and two proven guards. For that matter, Dan Moore, the whipping boy, has had the best Preseason of any Offensive Tackle thus far.

Let me repeat that; Dan Moore has had the best Preseason of any Offensive Tackle thus far. Fautanu gets a break for me as far as I am concerned. Broderick Jones?!.... oof...

Kind of scary when you think about it that Moore might be the best tackle they have, but he looked All-World compared to "Ragdoll" Jones

Scary is one way. Mortified is another. Most people will say "its just preseason" and, to their credit, they generally do have a point. However... as far as the Steelers are concerned.. there in lies the issue; not a problem but now issue.

The Offensive Line still cannot block worth a damn, Russel Wilson cannot seem to push the ball downfield and the Offense as a whole still cannot produce points. How much more of this will the players take I wonder?! I'd imagine this is going to happen more so than it should during the Regular Season, in which case, players will start voicing frustration. Remember what Najee Harris said a season ago?

"I am tired of this $#!t".

I'd imagine similar sentiments will be said should this continue into the Regular Season.

You have an offensive line that can't pass block for nothing, and two QB's that take forever to throw the damn ball. What could possibly go wrong? :lolol:

Tomlin losing the team being the nightmare scenario if I were a betting man. Granted, the chances of that are comically low. That said, first time is for everything.... *hint hint*.
