Poll lasts 7 days. Please vote and explain reason why you voted for the wr of your choice. Thanks. My vote goes to DK Metcalf. Would be a cheaper pickup and I think he is the better wr of the two.
Plus, him and Russ had good chemistry together. Not sold on Aiyuk, tons of talent around him at San Fran on offense. Wants way tooooo much money.

I don't get the DK Metcalf talk. Why are people claiming he wants to be traded out of Seattle. Has DK said anything about wanting to leave Seattle?

Other than a few Steeler podcasts is anyone out there claiming DK wants out of Seattle, and will be holding out or not playing for the team this year?

DK is currently signed until 2026.

This is just a pool of whom you would like to see as a Steeler wr. I am by no means starting a trade rumor.

Please add an "Other" so I can vote for free agent Michael Thomas. :)

Thanks, I voted for Other as I still think Michael Thomas would be our best option as he cost us nothing in trade value.

Just say no to trading a 1st round draft pick to a WR that is on his last year of a contract wanting 30+ million for years to come.

Rather than DK wanting out, the speculation I heard was the cap situation in Seattle is not good. Of course we know they can kick the can down the road if needed.

And with the emergence of Smith-Njiba the speculation is they would have to choose between these guys, including Lockett. In my opinion this is much more likely to occur next year with both Metcalf and Lockett entering the final year of their contracts. Maybe they decide to have a high paid duo like Miami.

No thank you on Michael Thomas. I live in Saints Country and he has been a huge disappointment. Played only 20 games since the lockdown. Talent may be there but the will to be great is not.

I would take DK over Aiyuk at this time. But I really don't care about either. DK has been known to get taken out of games when DBs play him physically. Aiyuk wants money or trade, doesn't sound like a Steelers type to me.

I would bring back JuJu or a physical type like him for this offense. We already have an athletic freak in GP, a speed threat in CA3, and a rookie that is known for being able to get open quickly(without the drops and running backwards) in Wilson. All I would add would be someone that can be both physical and a receiving threat, and we already have a few of those in the TE room.

    Washington- trades first for Aiyuk.
Steelers- trade a third for McLaurin.

    I want McLaurin too

less cost , less long term commit.

I am beginning to think Aiyuk is a headache and we don't need 2 headache WRs here.

Aiyuk for me, it does scare me with his money talk and what influence he will have on Pickens but when the Steelers played him last year he was unstoppable. Makes all all the tough catches and hard to defend.

I doubt it happens, but that is a trade I could be happy with. For even one year a 3rd for that talent would be worth it.

Is it his will to be great or the fact that he is 31 and considered injury prone? Those are two very different things.

I’m not going to pretend to know Michael Thomas’ mind. All I know is he has shown talent to be great. He has also sat with injuries great players usually play through. My interpretation is lack of willingness to do what it takes to be great.

I put other...I don't want an expensive Wr that forced their way off a team. That IMO is an automatic red flag.... especially in a Wr.

Other than wanting to get paid, what has he done that makes him a headache?

I voted "Other" for one reason only. Cap Hell. The Steelers have finally gotten a hand hold out of it and I have no interest in them returning. The WRs on the roster may be able to do the job, hoping that Pickens has the stuff, and considering the offense that OC Smith has used in the past. If the OL pans out, we should be in for a show this year. The RBs and Freiermuth are very competent. In my mind they don't need to break the bank for another WR.

I picked 'other' as there is no way either is coming to Pittsburgh. All of the Aiyuk talk is nonsense and has been from the beginning. Neither player will be a Steeler this year.

People are bored and stories are being made up and speculated for clicks nothing more.

It is highly likely unless a veteran gets cut they are going into the season with what they have. No big deals for top 10 WRs

it's been made pretty well known the steelers and 49ers nearly had a deal in place during the draft, but it fell apart at the last minute. it could have been for deebo samuel though. but, it's not like the steelers don't have actual interest.

He has been a complete jerk about his contract situation on social media in this offseason.....This is better to stay quiet in the contract situation
