Something has been brewing since they reworked Highsmith’s contract. Whether or not anything comes to fruition is another story

Chark is a free agent. He was a Panther last year.

McFadden made it seem like it's a bigger name than Chark.

So... it either isn't happening for the time being or is happening in the future. Take your pick.

Our secondary is suspect as best. So lets trade for a WR.

Check this out. 1 year up to $3.0 million for Gallup. Did the Steelers not want Gallup?

Raiders signing Michael Gallup, per report: How former Cowboys 1,000-yard WR fits into Las Vegas offense - CBSSports.com
Michael Gallup is the latest free agent to land a contract after the draft, as the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver reportedly reached an agreement with the Las Vegas Raiders. Per ESPN, Gallup will sign a one-year deal worth up to $3 million.

I hope the Steelers are not going to wait too long hoping for a trade; instead of signing a Free Agent currently wanting a job. This is a bird in the hand situation... Everyone is talking about what is available in the trade market, forgetting what they can actually have right now as a free agent.

I know it's been up and down for the last several weeks, but I still think Aiyuk is a possibility! Especially since SF invested a first round pick on a wr.

    this would be SWEET too.

i have made mention that there are 3-5 WR names floating - we know who most of them are, by now.

and there are also 3-5 CBs that could / would come here on 1 yr deals.

Khan is not done yet people - as Rodgers told us several years ago:

With 7 receivers taken in the first round of the draft, maybe there someone new available for trade, that wasn't on our radar before.

Looks like slot corner material. But it's only an invitation to rookie minicamp, where rookies, 2nd year players, UDFAs, and assorted other people are trying to make the 90, and then trying to make the 53. We only have 3 spots open, and he seems to end every year on IR. But yeah, we could use a slot, and if he makes it, more power to him.

    Rumors and innuendo.

I do think though, there is something to it..
    Who is it? I dunno.

SF is going to get top dollar for either of their guys. Deebo would render the signing of Patterson a waste. Debo does it much better from the WR slot.

They could push either of the highlighted guys back a slot to fit in a better one. It's not a bad rotation... but could be improved.
If you could manage a deal for Adams... it suddenly gets a LOT better.

Khan will grab someone. There's no way he was comfortable with the QB room following the Diontae trade. I know the Sutton rumors were debunked, at least for now, but a WR2 like him would be great if the Steelers don't land an elite talent. Honestly, he should be aggressive. For the first time in like 8 years, I think we have a very good roster.

That said, and I'm being totally serious - the Steelers would be co-favorites or a MASSIVE darkhorse candidate in the AFC North if they landed Aiyuk, Jefferson or Deebo. Again, not likely - but they're going to surprise.

This ranks right up there with all the predicted Draft Day(s) big trade ups/trade downs. Patience Grasshopper.

Would love this pick up. What if they wanted a promising young piece in return like a Nick Herbig? I would have a hard time parting with any promising depth. Would much rather give up draft capital next year.

Agreed. I don't know if these analyst really know something or they're just going off of pre draft speculation.
