Russell Wilson was clearly not liked by Sean Payton. That said, Russell's antics the season before spelled his doom long before Sean Payton ever came into the fold in my opinion. Justin Fields is far more simple; the Chicago Bears course correcting for Caleb Williams being the highlight of their mismanagement with Fields. In addition, Fields needed time to sit and learn how the position is played for while his athleticism and overall QB potential were not to be faulted, his polish, discipline and fundamentals coming out of Ohio State left a lot to be desired. To make matters worse, Matt Eberflus clearly had little to no idea of how to maximize Fields' abilities... other than let Fields figure it out himself; something that is a no no when it comes to insanely toolsy but very raw QBs. Caleb could find himself in much of the same vein for my fear for Williams is that Eberflus will forcefully rely on Caleb's Hero Ball capabilities to win games as opposed to have him round out his already gifted skillset. Such methods can win games... but having Caleb being more well rounded will allow Chicago to compete; something I don't believe Chicago will allow him to do.

Of the two, I believe there still could be something to unlock with Fields. I am a bigger believer than most in Fields but my beliefs are more invested for the Steelers will allow Fields to sit behind Russell given the fact that Tomlin has already said that Russell will start out. Fields grew up admiring Russell Wilson... so what better way for him to learn than by doing so behind one of his idols?!

It will also help both Russell and Justin that their protection will be either better or far superior than anything they have had in the past two seasons.

Very optimistic on my part?! Sure. Renewed hope?! Absolutely. A MUCH BETTER Steelers Offense in 2024?! Most Definitely.

CB King still there, a bit slow I think can't remember!

Crap Nurzad, Eichenburg, Cam Hart, SVP, 5rd pick some were willing to reach for in 2nd.
    Draine, Kamara(crush), Rattler,

All gone, with 12+ picks to go

Thought they just package the two 6ths for a 5th oh well

    DEF with the last two

King !, or Hall with the first one, DeVensire the next one if he makes it, or Hall. Don't want to loose hall to UDFA

Joe Milton III would be a fantastic addition imo. Older at the age of 24 but the amount of potential is simply too difficult to ignore. Him sitting behind the likes of Wilson and Fields along with working with Mike Sullivan will do wonders for him.

So we are continually going to blame Payton? Why was Seattle in a hurry to get rid of same said person? Carroll didnt like him either? There is a common denominator here sir.
Btw, 8 years ago i wouldve been happy to have gotten Russ. Now, other than it didnt cost us anything, Makes No Sense!
Wont even touch base with Fields, self explanatory. Do you think Bears didn’t develop him? Do you think for a moment MT is gonna develop him?
This is just my opinion and also I respect your opinions

For CBs you still have the local kid on the board in Pitt's M.J. Devonshire. 5'11" and runs a 4.4.

Exactly how I see you for crying for 2 pages. And then crying at a very long message.

You can go be a failclown fan. Bet that made sense to you take a late pick at #8 with having a big contract with a QB just given away.

Wrong, Tomlin is the one who told Khan they weren't going to trade down in the first round, they wasn't going to pass on the chance to draft Fatanu.

You do know that Rattler beat out the greatest qb in history? Had a bad game and they benched him.
