Crap you beat me by a minute! I wanted to say I called it was ahead!!

 

WR is no longer a need. They won't run 3+ WR that much, more two TE sets. They have plenty of WR now. They DO need to plan for Pickens wanting $$$$ and leaving, so maybe next year get that big, tall WR1 type to prep to take over.

 

Yep and he was clearly the bust punter in college the year we drafted him. Drafting punters is like drafting QBs, huge crapshoot. I get the Bears pick, stud punter, but more often than not, it doesn't translate to the NFL, for whatever reason. AT least not to justify a draft pick that could get you depth and future starter at a more expensive postion.

 

He really punted a few games away

Fair about the crapshoot of the draft... but that is every position though. The 2021 QB Class is the best prime example; the 2024 Draft seemingly being a sort of League based course correction after how those QBs were placed in unwinnable situations (sans Lance). As far as grading them goes, Tory Taylor is the highest I have ever given a Punter since Johnny Hecker. PH III doesn't come even close.

 

Hicks, Hart, and Draine gone, not that the Steelers had a shot at any of them once they passed in the fourth round. I hope they know what they are doing, but that fourth-round pick is the first one by Khan that I strongly dislike.

 

The only cb left that I looked at really is Myles Harden. Could be a good nickle. He's tough.

Ray Guy ended up in the HOF, but that's one guy in over 50 years (he was a punter taken in the 1st), but if you look at P in general, some get hot for a bit, then you may not hear about them for a while. The guy who some thought we should have kept over Harvin, went to Denver and had some good games, but the following year was on some PS. There are some whose stats really stand out, but the middle of the pack guys are actually pretty close in average, what might set some apart is coffin corner, or downing it inside the 19, whatever. I just want a consistent guy who does not muff every other kick, lol

Hopefully, with all the OL help we run ball as much as possible
Tho if Fields is handing it off, 90% chance he fumbles it.

 

I think the Florida state QB who was good before he got hurt is still out there, and the Tennessee QB with the cannon for an arm if you’re looking for QBs

 

Explain this to me… we got rid of 3 stooges that teams jumped right on. But than we turn around and pick up 2 qbs noone wanted?
I guess in this backwards world we now live in, it makes sense
