If the o-line is bad in 2024,Meyer need to be fired and very fast!

It took two posts to go negative. (You're not wrong.)

This is a pick that we all should have seen coming. It was no secret that they loved Frazier and they certainly need him, but my paranoia had me thinking they would screw up the center position again. I am very happy they got it right.

This is great. They got a quality center with the #2 pick and didn't have to move up to get him. I'm happy with this draft.

The next biggest need is WR and CB/secondary

Bam, got him and as I predicted last night, we didn't have to trade to get him... now let's get our QBs some weapons.

It’s time to run the wheels off Harris and Warren with these Oline maulers. I really like the way this off season is shaping up. Time to get back to old school style football. :herewego!:

Most experienced Center in the class. Dude is a wrestling phenom as well; 159-2 as a High Schooler no less. Dude has leverage, technique, discipline and play demeanor.

They've played this perfectly and given up nothing in the process. Hats off. That does not mean the players will work out, but this draft has been very well managed over the first two rounds.

I think they've got really good value for the picks, and by mid season at the latest we'll have 2 (Frazier day 1, Lautanu later) new starters to add to Broderick Jones from last year, and the most important 3 spots on the o-line locked up for what could be a decade.

No o-line, no offense, no hope.

Outstanding pick. Watching us not only ignore the position for years, but also having the likes of Baltimore and KC take the Centers we should have taken was really frustrating. Side note, the kid who may eventually replace Frazier at WVU is my neighbor. He's going to WVU after being a HS All American OL this year. He's been an OT but may eventually move inside.

Continues the excellent trend from last year. Khan/Weidl have been great.

A nice tidbit from the Athletic-

If you’re looking for one snap that sums up West Virginia center Zach Frazier, look no further than the last play of his decorated college career.

With just 1:14 remaining in the regular-season finale, the Mountaineers trailed Baylor by four points and needed to drive 80 yards for the win. On the first play of the drive, receiver Hudson Clement caught a short pass and was tied up short of the sticks. Frazier wrapped the 6-foot-1, 199-pound receiver in a bear hug and, more or less, lugged him ahead for the first down to temporarily stop the clock.

But as he did, a Baylor defender rolled up on Frazier’s massive left leg, twisting and snapping it.

“I was just in a lot of pain,” Frazier said at the Senior Bowl in February. “It felt like my leg was twisted kind of the wrong way.”

Frazier’s leg was broken. The natural response in that situation would have been to stay down and wait for medical attention. That’s not how Frazier is built. Realizing that the Mountaineers would have been slapped with a 10-second runoff for an injury timeout, Frazier hopped onto his one healthy leg and bear-crawled off the field.

The team-first sacrifice and football-guy toughness proved pivotal, as the Mountaineers marched down the field and scored the game-winning touchdown with just 23 seconds remaining.

“I just kind of did it without thinking twice about it,” Frazier said. “I knew I had to get off and I didn’t want our team to get that 10-second runoff."

I feel better about the 1st pick after the Frazier pick. I still don't agree with it, but I feel better about it.

Hopefully there will be some solid DB and WR options in the 3rd.

Colbert left a huge mess. K/W have done a terrific job of cleaning it up in a hurry. Give them a little more time. If they grab CB and WR in the 3rd and add DL and LB later, this team has a shot.

I think they are still planning to pick up a veteran receiver . I dont see how drafting a WR is going to help a great deal in year one.
