Couldn't blame him. Probably one of the best things ever to happen to him.

The Pittsburgh Steelers held a top-30 visit with Florida Gators WR Ricky Pearsall, per Ray Fittipaldo.
Pearsall is a 6-foot-1 slot receiver, who ran a 4.41 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. Pittsburgh could target the 23-year-old with their second-round pick (Pearsall’s current projected draft round).
He had 65 catches for 965 yards and four touchdowns in 2023.

They better be targeting a center in the second round.

A good defense coordinator can take a good receiver pretty much entirely out of the game

A center touches the ball and serves his function every offensive snap

A center needs to be taken before a receiver

    Several others as well

Take impact players early and the only receiver fitting that bill is Harrison who won’t drop to us

the staff has hit georgia, clemson, alabama, michigan heavy. will our center and tackle come from one of these colleges? possibly. they seem to have been meeting with a good deal from mizzou too. they had a pretty good team there as well last couple of years. interesting to watch. some decent defensive players from Missouri. this could work out quite different then in prior years. we have changed many in the scouting department and GM and assistant GM. maybe everyone won't be at the site of our pick, we have seen free agency change since colbert has been gone.:cool:

Jackson Powers-Johnson was visited by Pat Meyer at his Pro Day. I don't know if he will come in for a visit. He really doesn't need to. He is the top center in this draft. I'm hoping he is the pick at 20. Here is a combine drill where he throws Steelers assistant offensive line coach Isaac Williams like a rag doll.

I am still trying to figure out wat the Steelers saw in RB Dillon Johnson to warrant spending one of their official visits on this kid. His 4.68 40 puts him at 21st out of 22 RBs at the combine.

I think he is the only RB to Visit so far. I was hoping the Steelers would kick the tires on some of the FBs this year for a late round pick.

He's a late round pick, or UDFA.

They have two third rounds picks I could see them drafting Smith there.

Interesting, they Sent Pat Meyers to check out Center Jackson Powers Johnson at Oregon, and he comes back with the name Steven Jones.
