I agree. Not that you're a pee brain but in your draft selections.

This is what I am thinking.

Look out for March 28th. That is Duke's Pro Day. Graham Barton, one of the top IOL (Interior Offensive Lineman) Prospects, will be there. I expect the Steelers to bring the house... except for one thing that is throwing a massive monkey wrench into the system for me. The Big XII Pro Day Event will be held from March 27th to March 30th. Given how many potential prospects there will be there, I seriously doubt that Tomlin and Kahn would skip those days for that oppurtunity though it is important to note that, like the NFL Scouting Combine, there will be days for specific positions.

Dallas Turner LB. Can play inside, outside, and jump in on the DL here and there.

Any one of the top 7 DBs in this class. They all have skills our defense needs to upgrade.

JC Latham. LT for the future. Let Jones stay at RT. Latham at LT.

JPJ at Center. He looks every bit like a Steelers Center.

See I am taking Latham to play RT, why are you moving him to LT?

I have seen multiple Mocks where Latham falls to #20 and I assumed the Steelers were taking him to play RT.

Jones should be LT, he's earned it.

It's funny....every year I say.....Get a CB, and most the time it's shot down on the board by people saying we have enough, or what we got will work, or some such thing, and then come game day.....right on the game day thread....those same people will say......dang they can't cover anyone.....how is everyone so wide open....., and so on.....We need another CB.
We are not going to magically grow one in a flower pot somewhere.

I’m thinking, with the addition of a safety and boundary corner our biggest need in the defensive backfield is nickel corner. There will be some excellent ones in the third and slot corner capable safeties in the 4th. But if they get one of the top three corners in the first I can deal with it.

What are you talking about? Everybody knows they need CBs, they need maybe two outside CBs, and a slot CB.

For those of you hoping for a 1st round receiver, the Steelers presence at the LSU pro day was light. Weidl and Dunbar were there, but no one to check out Brian Thomas Jr., the only 1st round WR likely to be available at #20 (I'm skipping Nabers because we don't have enough Draft capital in the next two drafts to trade up for him).
Oh, and Michael Penix has a 30 visit scheduled. Rend your garments and gnash your teeth.

Well funny You should mention that ...then pray tell why is a big percentage the board talking about spending 1st ,2nd, and 3rd rounds on OL,and Wrs. If You just want to argue....we can do that. We need another CB high in the draft

We still need another number two. I'm not putting my hopes on Johnson we got in the trade

On the CB front, I liked Rush in that draft. He hasn’t panned out as a starter yet, but I saw potential. Maybe starter eventually, maybe quality backup.
Does Deshon Elliott fill our NB role?

What is going on in the world? The CB guru can't remember the Steelers CB's name that was acquired from Carolina.

Center and wide receiver are bigger needs right now. I would have no problem putting cornerback as need No. 3, but trading Johnson and failing to sign one of the free agent centers left them relying on the draft for help at those positions. Maybe they will still make a move there, but it doesn't seem that way right now.

I assumed that Elliott would step into the role Neal played last season. He is probably a better player, so maybe he takes some snaps from Kazee.

Apparently, Neal didn't know what that was either.
