How do we stack up by Position Group against the rest of the AFC North so far in FA?

QB’s (It’s close between us and Cle right now)
    1. Cin
    2. Bal
    3. Pit
    4. Cle

RB’s (We have the best one two punch)
    1. Pit
    2. Cle
    3. Bal
    4. Cin

WR’s (Could drastically change after FA and Draft, right now were a one man show)
    1. Cin
    2. Cle
    3. Bal
    4. Pit

TE’s (This is taking into consideration the blocking as a unit)
    1. Bal
    2. Pit
    3. Cle
    4. Cin

OL (I see us moving up after the draft, Bal has more holes but more promising depth pieces)
    1. Cle
    2. Bal
    3. Pit
    4. Cin

DL (If Heyward regains his form we are #2)
    1. Bal
    2. Cle
    3. Pit
    4. Cin

    Edge (No explanation)
    1. Pit
    2. Cle
    3. Cin
    4. Bal

LB (Cin and Cle are kind of interchangeable)
    1. Bal
    2. Pit
    3. Cin
    4. Cle

CB (This was tough. Bal and Cin have more depth than we do)
    1. Cle
    2. Bal
    3. Cin
    4. Pit

S (Could fall back one ... depends on how Elliot compliments Minkah)
    1. Pit
    2. Bal
    3. Cle
    4. Cin

I disagree with your linebacker rating. The Steelers number 1. Watt highsmith queen Roberts herbig.

I do agree with your running back rating. Steelers could have the best 1 2 punch in the NFL maybe lions number 1 and the Steelers 2.

    LB is off

and no way really to rate S and CB at this point

    we have 3 players

    LOL

QB could be off IF Burrow does not heal - stories as to whether he gets back to 100% ever again. We will see.....

All we have to do this season is run warren and harris! Play action to Pickens and muth. And play lights out defense! And we win the AFC north!

Same place they had us last year. Being a sports writer means never having to admit you were wrong.

Browns fan here so take this for what it’s worth.. Great idea for a thread.

QB’s (It’s close between us and Cle right now)
    1. Cin
    2. Pitt
    3. Balt
    4. Cle

    - Russell Wilson has won a Super Bowl. An absolute steal for the yinzers. Deshaun Watson, in my opinion, will go down as the worst trade in sports history. Worse than the Babe Ruth trade/sale to the Yanks. - Cleveland remains split on him.

RB’s (We have the best one two punch)
    1. Pit
    2. Cle
    3. Bal
    4. Cin

I’ll concede this one, unless Nick Chubb returns to form.

WR’s (Could drastically change after FA and Draft, right now were a one man show)
    1. Cin
    2. Cle
    3. Pit
    4. Balt

Cincy wins this category by a mile, but I think Pickens is better than anyone that Balt has.

TE’s (This is taking into consideration the blocking as a unit)
    1. Cle
    2. Balt
    3. Pit
    4. Cin

‘Muth is good, but not as good as Andrews. Due to Andrew’s injury, Njoku is tops here.

OL (I see us moving up after the draft, Bal has more holes but more promising depth pieces)
    1. Cle
    2. Bal
    3. Pit
    4. Cin

I agree with this 100%. However, us here in Cleveland are worried about age catching up with the Browns ol.

DL (If Heyward regains his form we are #2)
    1. Bal
    2. Cle
    3. Con
    4. Pit

These teams are almost all equal here. However, I give Cincy the nod over Pittsburgh.

    Edge (No explanation)
    1. Cle
    2. Pit
    3. Cin
    4. Bal

Sorry guys, but Myles Garrett is the best player on the best overall team defense in the NFL last year. If there was a redraft of all the players in the league, Myles would be the first non-qb selected. I know TJ is a monster and a hofer, but there isn’t one gem in the league that dispute that Myles Garrett is the best defensive player in the league.

LB (Cin and Cle are kind of interchangeable)
    1. Pit
    2. Balt
    3. Cin
    4. Cle

By signing Patrick Queen, I give Pittsburgh the nod here. A huge pickup. Cincy and the Brownies can’t hang here.

CB (This was tough. Bal and Cin have more depth than we do)
    1. Cle
    2. Bal
    3. Cin
    4. Pit

    Agreed 100%

S (Could fall back one ... depends on how Elliot compliments Minkah)
    1. Pit
    2. Bal
    3. Cle
    4. Cin[/QUOTE]

    Agreed again.

Given current rosters Steelers are dead last in
    • QB. Wislon/Fields < Watson/Wintson < Burrow/Browning < Jackson/Johnson.
    • WR (Pickens is good..but Batlimore has better depth)
    • OL (Nate Herbig is listed as our starting center..)
    • CB
Defense might better (assuming less injuries) but current offensive roster as too many holes . Bringing in a new OC from outside the org rarely works out for the Steelers.
This is NOT a playoff team right now. Draft and remaining FA could change that.

Oh come on! As you can see, these are the darkest months of the year. I’ve got nothing better to do! We’ll agree to disagree on TJ and Myles.

I bet they said the same thing last year as did many other talking heads, the Steelers have never finished last in the AFCN, and I don't see it happening this season.

Don't even get Me started....most of the Steelers fans on here don't like Me....so guaranteed a Browns fan won't. There is nothing to discuss. Garrett is a race baiting freaking liar that shouldn't have won DPOY, and only did because the media already had him picked out early in the year. He is not as good as Watt at anything except helmet swinging. Watt leads all categories, and doesn't even rush the passer every down like Miss Garrett does.

The best player on the best defense doesn't disappear the second half of the season, TJ had better stats than Garrett in all of the major categories.

Point taken. Regarding everything else, I really can’t pick a favorite to win the division this year. If Burrow stays healthy, I’d give the nod to Cincy. I think that the Ravens got worse and will have a playoff hangover. I think that the Browns stayed the same, and I have zero confidence in Deshaun. The Steelers seemed to have gotten better. Obviously, it all hinges on Russell Wilson playing well But, I mean that’s a guy who can hit the deep ball and knows how to come back when down late. He’s in his 14th year but —and it’s all over Cleveland radio— Russell Wilson had better stats than Deshaun last year.
