We have been movers and shakers in FA these last few seasons.

I think another season or two will reveal whether the new approach is working well (and Kahn will be a hero) or if it falls flat and we look more like the old Redskins (always making splashy moves without much substance).

 

Making a splash is not the same as being smart. I would rather be smart than just make wild moves each off season. I suspect Kahn will be in a similar situation next offseason as well.

It’s the end of the franchise that has worked via patience and continuity since about 1970. When I was an adolescent, that annoyed me, but eventually the six Lombardis convinced me it was the right way, and it wasn’t like every other franchise that worried about big moves and “winning on draft day.” I could be wrong, but I expect it will result in us becoming like all the other franchises in other ways, too, and they are not good ways.
