Pickett traded to Eagles

Did not expect that but I can see why Pickett wanted out - it was obvious that the staff lost faith in him.

 

Trade: Steelers are sending QB Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles in a pick swap, sources tell ESPN.
Once Pittsburgh signed Russell Wilson, Pickett preferred to move on.

 

this is awesome news!!! Great decision. I've been bashing the org on their QB decisions for the past 5 years, but I ***really*** like this move!!

What a great off-season so far.

Going into 2024: no Canada, no Pickett, no DJ, and Wilson as QB. Massive improvement to the offense.

 

But he will still be a backup with the Eagles .

Steelers get pick No. 98 and two 2025 7th-round picks.

Eagles get QB Kenny Pickett and No. 120.

It’s a similar value to Washington got for Sam Howell.

 

I do feel bad for Pickett: keeping Canada for 1.5 years destroyed Pickett's career.
