With the acquisition of Russell Wilson and Kenny Pickett upset and probably want out of Pittsburgh and Mason Rudolph probably going to sign with another team, does it make sense to trade Kenny Pickett for a draft pick and Steelers drafting a Box Nix or another QB in 3rd or 4th round make sense? The rookie QB can sit on the bench and learn from Russell Wilson for couple of years and will be ready to take over in his 3rd season. Or another scenario is trading Kenny Pickett for Justin Fields and Fields sit for a year and take over in 2025 for the Steelers?

It doesn't make sense to pickup Fields and sit him. Next year he will be due over 20 million and you don't even know if he's any good.

Who says Kenny Pickett is upset? Are you stating some fact or just speculating? I mean one could assume that but you know what they say about assuming something.

We need to knockoff the silly "Kenny is Upset" narrative.
You can call him inadequate for a number of reasons, but his professionalism is not in question.

His directive is to get in the books with Aurthur Smith and know and understand this offense 101%.
As part of the QB crew he works with Russell Wilson as well.
Then get into camp and apply those methods and try to win the starting spot.

There was some speculation about Pickett being traded to the Vikings to reunite him with Addison.

Doubt there is any truth to those rumors.

There is one that I heard mentioned, supposed to be a team source.
The Vikings are out there on a QB island - with Sam Darnold as the penciled in starter.
They could trade Justin Jefferson, who seems not happy there, for Pickett and a pick.
I think it is click bait but worth some speculation since there is actually a little common sense behind it.

A trade like this though would put us in a bind. Now you have to sign Mason.

Man Justin Jefferson for Kenny pickett. If that was offered you take it. I don't know on what planet that would happen.

The actual offer is Kenny Pickett, two firsts, and a platter of Primanti Bros for Jefferson. They're holding out for two platters.

Kenny is going to get another shot in Pittsburgh, and rightfully so. He'd better take advantage of it.

You forgot the part where they sign Jefferson for 35 milllion a year, agree to pick up everything but the vet minimum when they trade him to us.

The bears grossly inflated Fields trade value. It would be one thing to trade a 5th or below, not pick up the option and see what he has and then possibly try and re-sign on a cheap prove it deal, but stupid to trade a high pick, pick up the option and invest 0ver 30 million (over 2 years) in him.

Well I am saying it is clickbait. And draft picks are concerned.... so it is not a straight trade.
The only reason I even mention it is because of the QB situation there. It bears 'some' consideration... that means laugh at it, or consider - with a grain of salt.

    My considerations:
What If - They see Kenny in a better light than we do? They do have Sam Darnold who has been worse.
In my opinion, they would be depleting a weapon that could make catches of Sam's bad passes...
So it is, playing fantasy football..

I'd trade KP for no more pop up ads on thesteelersfans.com message board. Gosh, they are getting annoying.

I would defintiely rule out Vulcan, to logically not to do it, but you mind find some 'conehead' owner who would do it.

Some wanted to give them our 1st round pick. And the ask at first was a 2nd and a 4th. Now they will be lucky to get a 6th :lolol:

    Dodged that bullet!

If Mac Jones, who has been more successful than Pickett (that bar is really low, and oddly enough 3 months younger) got a 6th then Pickett is worth nothing.
