I remember the Browns had a WR back in the 70's named Fair Hooker.

Well You then would know more than I would about it....So I have a question...is this not something that can haunt him the rest of his career??? Before You answer... Take into mind this is not a person off the street, but someone that must push off repeatedly with everything he's got... all the time during training, and a game.

I guess we will have to wait, and see, but before I knew of the injury...I loved Him.

    It’s a fairly common injury.

I don't work with an ortho (nor do I play one on TV), but FWIW the studies I was reading dealt specifically with the injury in NFL players. Here's one.

If you're going to be a Hooker, you may as well be good at it.

True, but it could have just been a statement on charging practices.

Why do I feel the Steelers will end up with 2 first round picks? I dunno how they will do it, but seems that way.

Taylor having kicked in bad weather during his career and still averaging over 48 yards a punt says a lot about him. The 4th round wouldn't be too early to take him as good as he is.

Murphy is barely over 6ft tall, the Steelers certainly won't be drafting him in the first round.

Neither was Big Snack Casey Hampton... who also came from Texas. This doesn't mean that's who I want....I was just sharing info.

Big Snack made up his lack of height with abundance of circumference.

Hampton was also in the 320-330lb range, I would rather have his teammate Sweat at NT, I wouldn't draft either one in the first round.

That's who I want. Hence why I'm wanting us to get the bills center.

However I could see the RT from Alabama or Georgia. Which would be nice having a stout offensive line....... getting Kool-aid would take RT off the option in round 2.... but taking RT in the first, takes away getting a #1 CB. Both of those positions fall off pretty bad in round 2.

Round 2 we would have LB, DT project that would eventually work, WR, OG maybe.

So if I'm not playing chess. I want Kool-aid

Yes he did, but in all honesty a shorter center, or NT with strength , and long enough arms is at a advantage because they are already low. Ask any one that's ever played on the line (not myself because I never did) they will tell You they rather go against a guy taller than shorter if all things are equal.

I'm with you. No matter what they do at QB, a quality running game helps immensely. How many games have we watched the defense play well in the first half despite being on the field twice as long as the offense then, as the defense wears down in the fourth quarter, the game slips away? Get tough in the trenches and at least be around at the end.
