The Chief would not have ley a thugs comments poison the water for Mason Rudolfs future as a qb , imho he would have been judged on his skill and performance Art SR. believed in doing the right thing. tomlin sways with the wind and that is not the Steeler way I grew- up with and why I have been a fan for over 65yrs. Regarding the lack of interest in Mason as a qb the false accusation made about him gained traction do to tomlins not strongly supporting him . Who wants a potential cancer in the locker room or a target for revenge as your qb . Never would have happend on Art SR's watch or Nolls. Sorry to say but the current steelers are not the team us geezers grew up loving . Todays management and coaches would never have given Rocky Blier a chance .

Poor Bob sounds like a well intentioned elderly man with a poor memory.

 

This isn't the first time someone has brought up Myles Garrett accusing Rudolph of saying a racial slur as his reason to hit him in the head with his own helmet and that may be the reason why other teams have shown no interest in him. I have no idea of the validity of it, but I've heard it more than once in regards to Rudolph getting no love in free agency.

On another note, not sure how the Chief would have made that situation any better.

It’s 2024 Pastorbob. I can’t imagine the Chief and Noll dealing with collective bargaining and the rules packages they have now. The Army stopped using bayonets also.

That was my guess after reading the word salad in the OP, but he clearly has no idea what a ****show the Steelers were when Art Rooney, Sr. was running the show.
