At first, I was wondering what the Penguins coach has to do with the Steelers.

Interesting. Going way back i recall how different teams had expanded their coaching staffs to (Oh the shock) 12, the steelers were still at 7. Noll was HC and Sp teams coach, he loved the interaction on the practice field and the ability to teach. I think this was mid 70's and he/they eventually expanded, but even in recent years I have visited different teams sites and their list of coach's far exceeded the Steelers. The old thought and continued saying/ 'they are cheap' is an easy cop out, more likely the game evolves and some are just slow to evolve with it.

Exactly. The NFL today has analytics as well as many other innovative designs to give them the edge.
A computer analogy, We aren't in DOS, but we are probably Windows NT.

Good point. In 2024 with the schemes being so offensive (no pun intended) the other team is up 14 points and how is this time control ground game going to react to get into a shootout.
