I am 100% glad they dumped this hot garbage. If you can't consistently snap a ball as a center in the NFL you don't belong. You sign a free agent, draft a center or sign an un-drafted guy. Your talent guys go out and find who we need. Cole sucked and needed to go badly!!

 

Could, but honestly think the experimenting is over for this important position. As you said in an earlier post Omar and Weidl are (at least I hope) going to get focus on the trench's.

 

Not at what he was making. As someone else noted, the Steelers probably told him they had other plans at center but would like to keep him for depth and asked him to take a pay cut to which he declined and was subsequently given his walking papers. Sounds like a realistic scenari. Khan and Weidl aren’t messing around and the fact is Cole underperformed with his tendency to snap the ball low and get bullrushed into the backfield.

Look for a restructure of Cam’s contract next because there’s no way he’s staying under his current contractual terms.

There were already mock drafts out there with the Steelers taking a center. If the media figured it out, so did other teams.

Boy I haven't seen too many mocks with us taking a center, I see tackles,cb,lbs, and qbs mocked to us but I don't see many centers being mocked to us.

 

Way too many of them have the Steelers taking quarterbacks, but I've seen a few with them taking Powers-Johnson. There have also been articles in local media pointing out the Steelers' interest in Frazier. Do you think other teams can't see stuff like that?

 

Draft mims and van pran and have that Georgia personnel at every other spot across the front.

 

I'm sure they will sign a veteran center in free agency before the draft.
