That's the situation, unless you throw massive draft capitol and move up (then you still at at 50% or less statistically), pay a huge amount in CAP for a FA vet, or you find someone in the lower rounds that breaks out.

If Steelers can't get Rudolph back, get Minshew, T. Taylor or J. Brissett. Cooper Rush from Cowboys if he's a free agent. Rush played well when Prescott was out.

Wilson is too arrogant to sign on as backup

I also was thinking about Rush but don't know if he is a free agent.

I would go get Minshew and let him and Kenny battle it out in camp. Start whomever does the best.

I don't think they will just hand Pickett the starting job, he could be in competition with Mason or a free agent.

Well, they aren't going to get an elite QB anytime soon.

"With that being said, can't discount what Mason did," added Rooney. "Can't discount the fact that having competition will be good for everybody. Mason came in and showed, I think, what we're capable of when we do get quality play at the quarterback position. Appreciate what Mason did. We're interested in bringing Mason back."

Nope. Even if Kenny "works out" you're still looking at probably a Derek Carr or Baker Mayfield level QB. Certainly not a top 10 guy.

I don't imagine they'll even try to draft another serious QB for awhile.

I like this kid. I kinda think he's gonna be a 3rd rd guy that could go late day 2. Don't think the Steelers would draft a QB before the 5th rd. They really aren't that important .

I can't see why Indy wouldn't bring Him back. He played better than their 1st round Qb, oh wait Do 1st round Qb automatically get started on other teams , and it's just not Tomlin??? LoL
Anyway If I was Him I'd stay with the Colts....that 1st round Qb has no more guarantees of being good than KFP, and had got hurt even faster.

Pratt has been getting high marks from the scouts during this week's Senior Bowl practices. Surprisingly CBS sports said that the best looking QB's this week are Pratt and Spencer Rattler.

Sorry dude, Richardson showed more in 5 or 6 games than KP has in two years.

In the games I saw him, I probably said "Whoa!" 3 or 4 times. I've never once said that with Kenny.

I forgot some people are still more impressed with how fast a Qb runs, and how strong their arm is still.....over how well they process, read defense, and keep cool under pressure. Yet the fastest, strongest armed Qb are watching the SB from their couches like we are. Some will never learn. LoL No matter what history shows.

I don't think complacency has ever been an issue with KP. It remains to be seen if he can produce points and stay healthy.

I didn't realize you were saying the Colts should bring Minshew back. You're absolutely right about that.

Somehow, I thought were comparing KP and Richardson. And to me there's no comparison.

I wanted Minshew back in 2022 and tanked that season for someone in the 23 or 24 draft... Oh well... Such terrible planning by Colbert and company from 2018-2022.
