Overall positive. His comment about his pocket presence was pretty telling. He said that Kenny is still making the adjustment to navigating an NFL pocket or something to that effect (read he has happy feet). That was last season. Unfortunately, at the end of this season the same thing can be said. At least Smith recognizes the challenge and that will be priority number one with Kenny.

They need to run practice where the put someone with a cattle prod standing to the left of Kenny and every time he spins you zap him.

I like that Atlanta was heavily represented at Kennys pro day. Hopefully they had him rated higher than Ridder because Smith could’t develop him.

I am just wondering if Smith is going to try and sneak 35 year old Ryan Tannehill in the backdoor this offseason.

Could Kenny learn something from Tannehill's knowledge of Smith's offense?

I think there will be a good chance we see Tannehill, if Mason Rudolph does not come back.

I think the article makes reference to his pre-draft thoughts about Pickett but his observations about the happy feet was prior to the Steelers-Falcons game last year I believe.

I’ve seen that floating around too but I’m not sold on the idea. Didn’t we get burned by bringing in a highly touted and highly drafted Chicago QB before thinking we could fix him or, more accurately, thinking that Josh Allen had rubbed off on him during his two seasons in Buffalo?

Unpopular opinion but I would take him in a second. He has the talent level to go up against the tops QB’s in the league.

But what would you be willing to give up for him? I’d take him for a 4th round pick and maybe a 5th (not liquor, lol) next year.

I think the day they announce Fields has been acquired, I'd turn in my Steeler badge.
There just comes a time when enough is enough and I'm sure there's some Tarpon or Drum or something that would be far more entertaining.

I'd probably give a lil more, maybe a 3rd this year, and a 4th or 5th next year

I like Kenny but he needs time. Mason is a great option for us

Million dollar question. It will take more than a 4th though. Bidding will probably start with a 2nd rd. I wouldnt give up a 1st. Id try and negotiate down to a 3rd.

So after 2 years we are still training this guy. Put Mason in as starter and let Pickett learn from him. Otherwise we will start another season behind the 8 ball and Mason to bail us out but to late.

And that someone with the cattle prod should be Terry Bradshaw. Imagine the audio and optics of that. Pure Gold

Fields is really an athlete anyone who likes Lamar would probably like him. if he came here, He could probably excel here with running and passing because Kenny won't ever be a runner. he can't even play in bad weather.

Can't say for sure. I know plenty that don't think much of him.
    Athletic guy, for sure..
I just can't see the positives to make me want to trade for him. I'd much prefer going to the draft.

An article I saw recently predicting different QB moves this offseason had him going to the Raiders for a 2nd and a 7th from this draft.

I’m not sure we should be counting on Arthur Smith to develop any quarterbacks. From what I’ve read I don’t think he’s really been in that role as a quarterback coach? I could be wrong though. What we really need is a good quarterback coach for that task. Just my opinion

I would hope a QB coach was still on their list of hires. Id like it if they reunited him with Mark Whipple if he’s available.
