Every winning team scored 30 points or more this weekend. Offense has won so far, or the Ds aren't stellar anymore.

All you need is a hot QB hitting on all cylinders I guess.

The QB's who were left either have quick releases or can run, makes it a lot tougher to slow things down. SF is in and their D is a good one. When they play man coverage they can shut you down. They played zone against the stacked offense of GB. It still takes a stacked offense to stand a chance.

It starts with the O line. San Francisco's is just awesome. Three first rounders in there, they pushed around the Packers all day. We have two first rounders, and one first rounder that fell to the second round. We're getting there.

Accurate passer that makes good decisions, Pitch and catch, as the rules
of the NFL goes the defensive player has no CHANCE to compete. Please NFL
let the defensive players have a level field to play on.

    What a true statement.

The blowhard is taking defense out of the game. His blathering about safety is a joke. It's a contact sport period. The owners just don't want to take care of the old school players.
Oh and fantasy football! Goodell loves him some fantasy football! His mindset is to bring in the casual fan and hook em with the fantasy angle. The old school fan is slowly being pushed aside. It's now a television series that plays ALL year. Drama to the hilt. Dancing with the starters.

When Goodell and RayRay shared a hug I was hoping for them both to be vaporized. Poof. Gone. One will after this season. The other will keep on keeping on ruining the game the real fan loves...

I love during the draft when this clown gets booed off the stage.

True. Atlanta won and their CB's couldn't tackle anyone.

The last time I checked the Super Bowl isn't for 3 weeks, so the jury is still out on this one. Especially since San Francisco was the #3 defense in the league and they're till very much alive.

Not to mention that #3 ranking is YPG. Everyone 'round here seems to poo poo that measure and look at PPG as a better standard. And going by PPG every team still remaining is in the top 12 in the league with SF being #2, Atlanta #5, NE #9, and Baltimore #12.

Good points. But I wonder how the #1 ranked defense, in either YPG or PPG, has faired in recent years in the divisional championships or SB (too lazy to go hunt this down). I think I would rather have the #1 ranked offense than the #1 ranked defense these days - I wonder if that thinking would affect draft strategy?
