I find half your posts demeaning to a bunch of other posters on this forum, but I chalk it to up this being an open internet forum. You, however, seem to want to make sure something you don't approve of is "whacked". That's pretty arrogant. If you're not a mod, don't act like one.

 

For what it’s worth Ramon Foster says people are very high on Brown and some view him as a head coach candidate in another year or two.

I don't know a whole bunch, OK anything, about how NFL coaching circles work, but if it's anything like the field I'm in, which it is in the sense that it's pretty small and everyone is seperated by one degree at most, recommendations from former bosses, and the reputation of those bosses in terms of recommendations, means more than anything else, especially early on. There's some that give everyone a great recommendation regardless of how good they are, there are some that are very tough and if you get a good recommendation you can get any job you want, and there are some that are middle of the road. At the end of the day, your record will eventually speak for itself, but early in one's career, these things mean a lot.

I have no clue how good or bad Brown may be, nor how much weight to put on a recommendation from McVay or O'Connell or whomever. None of us do.
