IF the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl, where do they rank all-time?

IF (purposely capitalized as it hasn't' happened yet) the Kansas City Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl and win it, it will be their 4th Super Bowl appearance in five years, and 3rd Lombardi Trophy in five years.
Are we watching one of the greatest teams in NFL history? And certainly one of the greatest QBs ever in Mahomes and an all-time coaching great in Andy Reid.

Where would three Lombardi trophies and four trips to the Super Bowl in five years put the Chiefs all-time? IF they repeat next year, they'd three-peat and match the Steelers four Lombardi trophies in six years.

In the super bowl era, only behind the 1970s steelers,1980s 49ers and 2000s-2010s pats...The 1990s cowboys would have a argument but their dynasty have been short

In the terms of dynasty, 3 in 5 has always been my understanding of what a dynasty is, but that's just conjecture. Going to a conference championship that many years in a row certainly has to be taken into account. IDK in greatest of all time (impossible to really articulate), but certainly one of the best of all time.

Where do they rank all time?!

Whew man.... the different ways that they have won it definitely would have to be factored in foe certain. Tyreek Hill to no Tyreek Hill to the worst Offensive Output by the team?! That is definitely noteworthy in it of itself.

I'd say..... Top 5 overall. Should technically be Top 7 though how many people would dare to add the 60s Packers?! Given how they only won two, does that disqualify them?! If not, what about the First Generation Expansion Cleveland Browns from the 1940s?!

Quite a bit to unpack if those factors are added.

we'll see what happens over the next couple weeks, but Mahomes has that postseason aura about him that Brady had for all those years.. it just seems almost impossible to beat him. and yes, that chiefs team IS Mahomes.. you'd need to play a nearly flawless 4 quarters and hope for a break or two. they obviously have some other really good to great players, but Mahomes is what makes that team great.

I'm lost. You would rather have 3 Superbowl's in 5 years, rather that have 4 Superbowl's in 6 years?

Me, I'll take the 4 trophies over the 3.

I cannot help find you, if you got what your statement says out of what I wrote, then you are wandering in places I have never been.

For probably the first time ever, I’ll be rooting for the Rats on Sunday. Tired of Mahomes, Kelce, Swift…:puking2:

Then I’ll be rooting for the Lions to annihilate them in the Super Bowl!

It is hard not to puke reading this, let alone feeling the same way, but the hatred for the Rats does come with some respect, Lamar is special and has gotten better, and that D is something else. Beyond that, for the Lions to win it all would be a terrific topper to a really great story.

Oh, it pained me to type those words and to have to say I’m rooting for the Rats, but Lamar has earned my respect this year and he’s become a pretty darn good passer of the ball which is scary given his ability to run. As his mobility decreases over time I still have doubts that he can fully transition to becoming a pure pocket passer. So even though I loathe him in many ways because he’s the quarterback of the Steelers chief rival within their division, he has earned a certain level of respect, kinda like Ben earned with Ravens fans. The only difference is that Lamar doesn’t have the same success against the Steelers that Ben had against the Ravens and I hope it stays that way.

As for the Chiefs, I’m tired of the Taylor Swift sag. I’m tired of the lovable Andy Reid dominating the airwaves with Kelce and Mahomes. I’m tired of wittle Patty running to the refs every time a defensive player looks at him the wrong way. I hope Lamar and company eliminate Taylor Swift from playoff contention tomorrow! (Never thought I’d type that sentence.)

I have no problem with the 4 teams remaining in the playoffs...I respect these 4 teams

Outside of Taylor Swift that I'm tired of that, I've never had a problem with the Chiefs....I saw the Chiefs to wait so long before having some playoff success and Andy Reid waited 20 years before winning his first super bowl even if he had been a great head coach for so long....And in general I have no problem with their fans base who have for the most part always been loyal to their team, so it's not a New England Patriots situation when their fans was so toxic for so long.

I'm very happy for the Chiefs, they deserve their current success and I'm not going to start hating every dominant team in the NFL, otherwise it wouldn't be fun to follow the NFL

    This makes me :puking 3:

Lol…it has little to do with the fact the Chiefs are dominant but thanks for the lecture. It has EVERYTHING to do with how a dominant team handles success. I always find it endearing when a dominant team or athlete sprinkles in a little humility for good measure. Mahomes, Kelce, Swift and company have none of that. Mahomes complains to the refs about every non call and he even whines and complains about obvious penalties that went against the Chiefs just because they messed up a good play…:cry::cry::cry::cry:

I’m sick of these crybabies and Travis Kelce is one of the most cocky, arrogant, human beings playing in the NFL today. It’s just a matter of time before Ms. Swift moves on to her next conquest and writes a song about “that guy on the Chiefs is not coming home to me” or something like that. Talk about overexposed. If you’re okay with it, that’s cool. They’re a great team and have had a great run…it’s time for them to be humbled.

I get it, Mahomes is amazing and seems to be a great young human but I've had enough. I rooted hard for KC that first SB in 50 years but now I'm done with them. I'm all in on the Ravens.

I do understand how it seems he just can't be beat. I remember last season watching the AFCCG and Mahomes foot doing a complete turn around. I was watching with Eagle fans and they screamed the SB is ours. They were high fiving and planning the parties. I agreed with them but damn if duct tape didn't saved the day for KC;)
