In all fairness he did a much better job than Canada. Our offense immediately improved, especially our run game. Of course a ham sandwich could have done better but Sullivan did pretty good with filling in.

 

Good for Sullivan if he can get an OC job out of this.

I was hoping he would go back to QB coach, but it seems like that would all depend on the New OC, and if he burned any bridges with Tomlin/Pickett.

 

I doubt he ever burned any bridges. It’s just that it has been well stated by now that the Steelers are looking outside the organization for a new OC. He has been contacted by a few teams for that same position which would be a promotion. Who wouldn’t jump on that opportunity.

 

I said I was hoping he would just quietly go back to the QB coach. If he can get an OC position, some where else, out of what he did down the stretch for the Steelers good for him.

 

I don't really care about Sullivan.

Super bowl teams will be determined, so the interview landscape is laid out.

You might be right. I'm just sick of the internal hires. I want someone from outside the organization. Fresh ideas. Someone from a different culture. We need it. we've gotten stale.

 

I hope he gets an opportunity. Seems like a good guy and he made the best out of a crappy situation. He and Faulkner teamed up to somehow make it work. Once they got competent quarterback play with Rudolph, the offense actually resembled a competent NFL offense. It’s a shame that they reverted back to the Matt Canada playbook in the playoff game.

 

He is interviewing with the saints as well? Absolutely mind blowing that anyone would give one of the terrible hires made by Tomlin a phone call let alone an interview

Our first round draft pick QB has regressed and basically got benched for the end of the season and his QB coach is getting calls for a promotion

 

NFL teams are desperate. I’ve got three interviews lined up next week.
