He’s been retired for a couple seasons now since the HC change in Denver but has recently let it be known he wants to coach again.

    Make this happen, immediately :beg:

We need an OL coach, give him a very good salary

Rooney’s got to pay competitive salaries for good assistants for a change.

That, and a good OC, would make an enormous difference next season.

Munchak back as OL coach and run game coordinator would be an excellent appointment. The Oline coach is almost as important as the OC in my view

Something tells me the Rooneys hold the quarters so hard they have feathers in their hands when it comes to the coaching staff beyond the head coach. All anecdotal but do we not have one of the smallest staffs in the NFL?

He ain't coming back here, NFW ... he probably is chirping up because Titans job is available.

Only bright spot for the future on our line is Broderick. That ain't enough.

If the Steelers go with an unproven OC, like Zac Robinson, I would love to see Munch return as the "Assistant Head Coach / O-Line Coach" position.

If he would be OC coach again, I would be running to make that signing!

For those following along at home I’ll answer because steelvision won’t. Their salaries are unknown. There are a bunch of yinzers out there that claim the Steelers are cheap because the staff is small. However, it’s entirely possible they pay more because of a smaller staff.

Good organizations go out and get quality coaches and end up being winning organizations. That said Munch isn't gonna coach here.

And the staff is the size Tomlin wants not because of cheap

But that doesn’t fit the whiner agenda

And don’t be making fun of Yinzers n’ at :smiley1:

Oh yeah? What about the duct tape in the weight room and players complaining about NO childcare?

    Exactly

Let one of their mothers watch them although that might require multiple stops on the way in if there are multiple kids

So according to Google the average Coordinator pay is 1 million, position coach 400,000. Matt Canada's contract was supposedly 750,000, some of the more known names in OC reportedly make 1.5 million, maybe more, where we stand is probably on the low end.

I really believe the OL coach is a position of need. We've seen some of these guys go elsewhere and be at least serviceable after being failures in Pittsburgh. I don't want Jones going downhill as well.
