Yes, their salad bar was good there. Steaks were terrible but their chicken was surprisingly good. There was one in Lower Burrell, but it's been gone for 20 years or so.

I don't know that I would be afraid to use a fifth pick or later to get a punter. They are a very big asset on special teams and you could say that the percentage of 5th, 6th, and 7th round positional players to see considerable playing time has to be pretty low. However, a punter could start immediately and affect the very first game he's in if he's good. Switching field position is a big deal and something Harvin could rarely do.
All that aside though, that's just not really the way most teams operate. You are correct in that most teams get those guys in free agency after the draft.

Punting is extremely important. They've given opposing teams a short field to work with way too many times over the last 3 years, and it's cost them the game on more than a few occasions

Agreed with a 5-7 although knuckleheads here will explode but hey that’s half the fun

On average 3 punters are drafted each year
    So it’s not unusual

The best thing about him is that he's used to punting 8 times per game coming from Iowa.

He reminds me of how I felt every time Roy Gerela was kicking, a disaster waiting to happen.

Ravens current and previous punter were both drafted. Both really good, and will have/had long careers.

However they hit on both, it might be our scouting? If you are gonna use a draft pick on a kicker, you need to be sure.

Also, Danny Smith is a great coach, but he is just a very high level ST coach, I don’t suspect he has much to offer in the mechanics of kicking.

Maybe a kicking specialist needs to be brought in to coach?

I can still punt a football barefoot 60-yards. I pushed myself in my younger days to be a 2-step punter like Craig Colquitt (I'm actually a 1 1/2 step punter) making it harder to block. I don't know what my hang time was, but usually my team was there waiting for it to land. I'd throw my hat in the ring, but not quite sure of the protocol of a punter in the NFL approaching 60-years-old. Haha, although I'm sure being chased by 250lb.+ lineman and LBs which are 30-40 years junior to me may change my tune slightly and give me an "OH :poopy: moment!

Someone was offended the last time you all brought his up appetite. Hopefully they understand we say this in only the most respectful manner possible. (Fat guys are not good punters)

Harvin has the highest bmi index ever for an nfl punter.

Hate to say it, but punt distances are referenced from the line of scrimmage.

    Sure

But if one of us can kick it 40 it’s not a stretch to ask an athlete to kick 7 more

I already calculated that factor in, but whether I could do it consistently with 11 guys charging my way, that's an quite an other story :lolol:

Before the Ponderosas was the Sizzler and before the Sizzler was the Rustler. Particular fond memories of the Rustler as my dad used to take me there when I was a kid.

I know of Sizzlers, and went there a few times as a kid, but Rustler is a new one to me.

York Steak House in the mall as a kid. I used to love the smell of their buttered cod.

Can't remember if it was just a Lenten thing or not. But they would grill cod fillets and keep them simmering in these pans of butter. The smell, perhaps mixed with the steaks, etc., was glorious.

Might not have been national. All I know is it was a sad day when it closed. Made it into a Blockbuster.
