i'm not sure i change qb coach. mason has made some strides learning from mike sullivan. pickett was only in year 2. now as OC, i'm glad it won't be leftwich. fresh perspective from outside would be wonderful i believe.

I would like a shot at a Super Bowl before Watt gets old, but that means getting a top 10 QB and that is a big ask. Only way probably is pick up a veteran who was formally a top 10 and has faded, but just happens to have a good year for us.

I'd prefer if they hired an OC who has had success without a QB named Brady, Mahomes or Allen.

 

He's getting there. Once he loses that explosive first step, he'll be average at best. Maybe 2-3 more Pro Bowl type years, unless he turns into JJ and is always hurt

I don't know about some of the "Conspiracy theories" I see.... that's something one has to solve in their own mind.

But one thing I do think Mr. Rooney does need to level up with, holding Ohmar and Tomlin responsible for decisions.
It's like paying your lawn service $150 bucks per mow and they don't weed eat the sidewalks.

It had to be really hard to show up at any NFL owners meeting and not have other owners saying "really?"

Anyway, Mr. Rooney doesn't need to know everything about football, that's not his job.
He has hired people to do that.
His job is when they fail and his shiny sports team doesn't get W's - It's no fun sitting in the owner's box watching your team get clobbered.
In that aspect, I would agree, he needs to turn the volume up a little.
