I thought Noll coached under Paul Brown before becoming the Steelers HC.

Very unlikely to happen even if he is fired by Dallas but Roethlisberger wants Mike McCarthy as OC!

Disturbing to me, I don't see ANY Steeler requests for interviews.
One would think they would be requesting to talk to some guys...

    Exactly

This is why it is highly likely Faulkner will be OC next year possibly on a one year contract to match Tomlin

I did not like anything I saw from the Current coaches on Monday against the Bills.

I am still holding out hope for Eric Bieniemy.

I will be absolutely shocked if they don't do what they've been doing and promote from within. They haven't learned they're okay with the way things are going and they continue to do business as usual. What makes you think they're not going to hire from within when they clearly are bringing Tomlin back from what I'm hearing?

I read where the Steelers pay their coaching staff the least amount of $$$ in the in thel league, besides Tomlin.
. I don't know if this is true .but i dont expect them to go get a proven play caller on offense or defense, when they can mosey along with what they have to a another 9-8, 10- 7 season and not upset the apple cart

Dislike, not in a bad way..... dislike because that is horrible.
I did see Faulkner listed back as RB coach though? So, I don't know.

Alex Van Pelt fired from Browns. Return to Pittsburgh to help another former Pitt QB Alum? He basically got a team to the playoffs with a bunch of crappy QB's. It wasnt his fault the Browns gave up 24 in the 1st half before the true Joe Flacco showed up.

Noll played under Paul Brown, but was hired from Don Shula's staff, and was influenced by Sid Gillman, while he coached under him.

If the Steelers are serious, hiring an internal OC should not be an option and I would be upset like last year when they keep Canada for one more season

This is probably sad but true. At that point I'm going to have a hard time not rooting against my own team for a year so they will be forced to make a major change. Exceot for Eagles and Ravens games..oh, and Browns and Bengals games...oh who am I kidding. I can't roit for them to lose

Noll was an assistant coach with the Chargers and Colts, eventually working as defensive coordinator for both teams, before he became head coach of the Steelers. He played for Brown.

Cowher started as the special teams coach for the Browns, then moved over to defensive backs. He was the defensive coordinator for the Chiefs when the Steelers hired him.

Hiring from within would be disastrous. Faulkner was fine as a fill-in, but no way in hell he should be the offensive coordinator.

This has been reported multiple times from multiple sources over the years. The Rooney's aren't exactly big spenders when it comes to things outside of the players. Tomlin may get to pick his staff but it's within the confines of the budget set by Rooney.

If they don't extend Tomlin I can see it happening. Other then that if he does get an extension Faulkner best not be the choice.
