    without checking the last I heard we were like middle of the pack in space, lower middle like 18 to 20. Not bad really, but still need to know exact amount of increase, who they cut for space and other reasons. Not sure we have the money to go after big contract names, but rarely have done that.

    Current projections are 6.7 million over the cap!!!!

    Lots of work to be done!!! Bye bye Chuks , #99 , WR Robinson……. Restructures on the way!!!

    With an estimated cap of ~$245M the Steelers are sitting about $7.5M over, but technically it's more like $17.5M over. Currently they only have 43 players under contract, so closing the gap to 51 using a minimum in player salaries and signing the rookies class adds the extra $10M.

    That said, it's not a major concern. For staters they can free up good chunks of space by cutting Robinson ($10M) and Okorafor ($8.75M), restructuring Heyward, and restructuring/extending Watt.
