I agree about Warren. You have said about Ben Johnson, but he's interviewing for HC positions. Are you saying if Tomlin moves on?

Harris fifth year option is an interesting decision but outside of that I would run it back with this group in 2024 and try to improve the Defence and Oline in free agency / draft.

They are in a frustrating spot with the QB position but I wouldn’t tank, you are just as likely to get Zach Wilson as you are to get CJ Stroud when you draft high. It’s not worth it.

I would prefer a move for a veteran like Cousins over tanking. Let Pickett sit for a year and see if he figures things out

Invest in the O-Line in the Draft and ride Harris like the bell-cow he is. Option and then Tag him. Going to be curious to see if Derek Henry hits the open market this year.

DJ is on the last year of his contract, so he may want to be traded to a team that will get him a better chance of securing a big time 3rd contract. I thought it was smart when DJ signed his 3 year contract with the Steelers for both parties. The Steelers got him for a bargain price because DJ knew that if he signed a short 3 year contract he would still be able to work a big deal in his 20s for his 3rd contract, and not be locked into a contract that would have him playing into his 30s and then have to go looking for a new 3rd contract.

Muth, you just need to let him play out his final year and go from there.

I pretty sure Warren is still tied to the Steelers for 2 more years, so no reason to do anything in 2024.

Finally, I hope Cam thinks twice about how much fun it is to play with his brother and comes back on a cap friendly deal. $22.5 million is just too much for a part time player.

Sitting in my official armchair and playing GM.
They have to rework Cams deal, I could easily see splitting that deal over 2-years.

I really, really hate suggesting this but TJ is a game wrecker and owns a $30mil cap hit the next 2-years.
But are we really that close to being a total team? When he is out, our defense is terrible, and our record is like 1 and 15 or something crazy.
Could trading him net more value in return and that cap hit spent for 2 quality players?
I'm not sure who would trade for that contract.

Najee and Jaylen are an outstanding duo.
Jaylen is not going to be a every down back.
This would be the year to trade Najee if you had any takers. You will need a RB to replace him.

We have 16 Free Agents, none of which are critical. Levi Wallace is probably the highest ranked of them.

Our Offensive line looks like bad cap/contract management. This is the last contract year (2024) for several.
That sort of signal to me a draft focusing on the line of scrimmage.

Just a few things I think off the cuff. It's early.
