Sounds like they need to get rid of Najee then as he is a rebel rouser. Can't have that now.

    Translation:

No leadership on the Offensive Side of the ball sans an Allen Robinson who's best days are clearly behind him and will be gone soon anyhow.

Ok, Who’s he complaining about? Pickens? The high flying tackle missing dogs in D? I ain’t saying he’s wrong. But don’t complain to the media, complain to Coach T, unless he won’t hear it.

maybe he doesn't realize it, or he's just trying really hard to make it sound like he's not calling out his coaches, but it sure sounds like he's saying this team needs a culture change. culture changes start at the top and trickle down.

I wonder if the bs with Pickens and dj during the year and no discipline for it got under najee’s skin.

    Bucky says it here essentially.

No Offensive Leadership. None... at all.

Tomlin seems to have some kind of weird fetish for bringing in old, slow, and washed up veterans into the mix. And we've seen the results of that unfortunately

I think Najee is the only guy that has the guts to tell it like it is, and I'm sure he's just echoing the prevailing sentiment that's shared throughout the entire locker room

I agree with 22: this was the worst run/managed Steelers team I've ever seen.

He's right. I have no problem with him saying it now that the season is over. This is the biggest problem with Tomlin's teams, the sloppy play, and it cost them again against the Bills.

    - The "in-house rules" part is a knock on both the offensive leadership AND the coaching staff. Need more accountability in house, both player to player and coach to player
    - The "discipline, structure and commitment" part is ugly. That is 100% on the coaching and is probably a direct shot at the coaching staff. The operation is faulty, and the operation is run by the HC and his staff.
    - "Just play Running Back" part is also on the HC IMO. That is a horrifying lack of leadership. Outdated, and something that doesn't speak well to the younger generation. Shows an overall stubbornness that we all knew existing internally with the HC and staff.
    - "The guys in that building know what I am talking about" part shows that this is something that is echoed by a large portion of the room.

All of these things are far from ringing endorsements on the HC and staff no matter how Najee wants to paint it. Big respect to him for saying something publicly that he's essentially been told by the coaching staff to shut up about for a while. Hopefully this "change" he is looking for happens and happens quick. We can't expect to win anything when the internal operation is rotten.

Ironically, he proves his point about the lack of discipline by airing out the dirty laundry. It could be that he was being purposefully ironic / meta about it - I mean, Najee actually seems like a pretty intelligent guy, imo.

"Coming from a place that has structure". Sounds like he doesn't think we compare well to Alabama. This feels a lot like when Troy was getting frustrated with the lack of discipline on the Steelers, particularly with the young players.

Airing dirty laundry to the public has no place on a team. You keep it in the family. I hate guys like this and he should be traded.

He isn’t talking about disciplining those who misbehave or act out …….

It’s about Culture !!! It’s about Structure!!! It’s about Boundaries!!!

Tomlin is a “Players Coach” or as Deebo once said…. Head cheerleader!!!

He has Never hired, developed Great Asst Coaches. He’s great at motivating when things go south BUT not able to build a system/team to prevent the downward trends or effectively fix them when they do occur!!!

I agree with him. It all falls back in poor team management set by MT. He couldn’t handle Harrison, AB, Bell and now he is letting the Pickins situation get out of control. Where does it stop and why aren’t the Rooney’s looking into this problem?

Not necessarily shot at coaches. Could be a shot at players. They are the professionals, not kids.

If you listen to the full interview, he was told by Tomlin “Najee, just play running back.”
