This is stupid. They postpone games when there's hurricanes and lightning, but let's play in extreme cold/wind so everyone gets hyperthermia, that's if fans can even get to the game. Fkkk public safety!

Like many others I thought the weather forecast was a slice of good fortune for the Steelers but now I’m not so sure. If the Steelers have to keep the ball on the ground the Bills will likely stack the box against the run and short pass. I doubt Rudolph will be efficient enough to overcome that, and the Steelers might really struggle to move the ball. The lighter boxes they’ve had in recent weeks have been key to that improved running game.

The Bills are a better running team than they have been in recent years and Allen is never afraid of tucking the ball and taking off himself. He is also more experienced and has a better arm than Rudolph and they will have a stadium full of fans going crazy. Id bet on him having more passing yards than Rudolph in that situation 100 times out of 100. He may throw a couple of picks as well of course, and hopefully he does.

The more I think about it our best chance may be normal weather and go in and play like a team that has nothing to lose, take shots down the field early, see if the Bills defence backs up, hope for some luck and see what happens.

If that forecast comes true during the game, not before, advantage us.

I have a rule not to go to Pittsburgh after October. I am a wimp when it comes to the cold. I could not imagine nor would I venture into Buffalo for a game near the lake. It will be crazy cold and blustery, to say the least. Ticket prices are $100 US now. People are dropping like flies

This is not new for Buffalo. I'm not saying it will happen, but Hasn't this happened at least two other times, and they had to postpone, or move the game??

Watch itnermediate sideline throws from both guys. That is where you really see arm strength. It is where Rudolph's average arm has been an issue in the past.

Agreed, which hurts the Steelers more than the Bills. It takes away Rudolph's strength. Allen is great on every kind of throw.

This has been a problem of Rudolph's in the past. He has been better than in the past, but no, his strength is accuracy and touch on the deep ball, not necessarily a great arm.

That's partially what I've been saying, that Allen is far better equipped to play in poor conditions than Rudolph.

That said, really ugly weather could keep the game close. If you tell me up front the score might be 13-10, I'd like the Steelers' chances.

yup.. 2014 and 2022 I believe. I did find this and found it interesting.

"A memorable game in Buffalo in December 2021 saw Mac Jones and the New England Patriots beat Josh Allen and the Bills 14-10 with the visitors attempting just three passes with wind gusts approaching 65 km/h

That was a nationally televised night game. I think going into the 4th quarter Jones hadn't attempted a pass but ended up throwing 3 in the fourth quarter in the win over the Bills.

I have not heard when the team is flying into Buffalo?

Are they flying in tonight, or trying to fly in late Saturday?

the Bills are a better team.. inclement weather helps level the playing field. it can act as the ultimate equalizer. as underdogs, i'll take it.

Allen is a gunslinger who will still try whipping the ball around in 50mph winds.. i like our odds in that scenario.

Honestly, that's state of emergency type stuff. There appears to be no cutoff for the postponement of a game, but if this forecast holds by tomorrow afternoon I would think serious consideration would have to be given to moving it to Monday. Too many safety risks for too many people.

This is stupid. They need to get those teams out of there first thing Saturday morning, get them to Cleveland, and play Monday at 5pm.

It isn't fair to the teams who've worked so hard and played their asses off to try and play a game in those conditions. I get playing in the elements...to a point...but when it COMPLETELY changes the game, it's going too far. 1 to 3 feet in blizzard conditions will make it nearly impossible to physically move the way that you need to. There's no way they can keep the field clear enough for the players to get their footing to run, turn, and push like you need to.

Id agree. And the assumption that the steelers can go in and run the ball to victory may not work out the way some fans think. The Bills are a decent run D, if they clog up the run game and turn it in to a field position battle I’d be worried for the Steelers.

The weather adds a bit of randomness and chance for sure, but the Bills have a significant advantage regardless, especially when the Steelers are without Watt. Our D is likely to be on the field a lot more than they have been the past three weeks.

If these conditions are as bad as they say, only going to be won upfront on OL and DL. Let me just say Allan is the QB that reminds me the most of a young Ben. His size, arm strength, and running ability looks very familiar. But just like young Ben, can sometimes force the ball and Allan has done that the last 3-4 games. Steelers need to be +2 in the turnover margin to have a shot. Special teams is also going to play a major part in this game, this is where are coverage teams, punter and punt returner scare the hell out of me!

State of Emergency has been declared in Buffalo.
Governor Hochul Declares State of Emergency Ahead of Potentially Dangerous and Life-threatening Blizzard-Like Conditions Along Lake Erie and Lake Ontario | Governor Kathy Hochul (ny.gov)

Road closures and Travel bands to start on Saturday.

I wonder where the team is this morning? Hopefully they are already in their Hotel rooms, but if they can't fly into Buffalo on Saturday, would they try to drive?

FYI. Keep track of the Cancelled flights today into Buffalo. FlightView (BUF) Buffalo Flight Tracker & Airport Delays
