Which means it has to have some merit.

Because WNAC has no valid arguments. Those that have lost revert to name-calling. That's very sad, but not unexpected.

I would like is alter ego on Youtube to go into the booth, that would be funny. The younger players on the tube are all cut and look jacke, Tomlin is looking porky thee days, living on the high life and drinking that wine and eating those steaks, he got fat and happy. He needs some PT before he gets on TV!!

And they didn’t ask an questions about little green martians trying out for the team which obviously means there is some merit to it

As soon as news broke Saban was out, the Tomlin to Bama rumors started flying.

I thought that was Colbert's decision because he knew he was close to retiring.

Tomlin would be a fool to follow the GOAT Saban, he wouldn't have a patient boss like Art ll.

I thought you were implying it was the Steelers decision.

That is a good question, and I go back and forth because many of the current “good” coaches have not had sustained success. But I would argue that
Reid, McVeigh, Shanahan are better. I thought the coach for the Eagles would make the list but they seem to have taken a step back, same with the Bengals even before Burrow’s injury. It’s a close call with the last 2. I know some will argue Harbaugh but I think he just has the right QB, same with McDermott.

I still like MT and always will.

I didn't mean that as a criticism. I like that he doesn't seem to care much about the noise. I know some folks are annoyed by his press conferences, but I'm not one of them.

The diversity argument about Tomlin has always been dubious. Every account I heard was that he blew them away in the interview. Grimm never got a head coaching job. Whisenhunt didn't want to wait for the Steelers to complete their process, so he took the Arizona job. Tomlin was a deserving hire and he has been a damn good coach regardless of the color of his skin.

With all these vacancies, I’m sure Tomlin is liking his options

The college coach is way more then just a coach carries a LOT of duties. Don't believe Tomlin would want that.

The rumor is his wife is pushing for Tomlin to take a break.

If they lose Sunday, is that evidence of his message getting stale or just the result of losing the best defensive player in the game and both inside linebackers?

Agree with a break more than likely. I would be shocked if he just went to another team. If he is ready for a break, I do hope he does it this year so Steelers have rights when he returns and the Steelers don't go a year with a lame duck coach if you will. That would further complicate coordinator hiring process IMO.

They actually believed in Trent Green and he looked good that preseason. It took more than a few practices for a long shot like Warner to take the job from him.

Cowher wasn't anonymous when he was hired, but that was over 30 years ago anyway. We have a lot more information available to us now than we had when either of those guys were hired.

One major difference is Dan Rooney won't be involved this time. He wasn't the owner yet when they hired Noll, but he had taken over day-to-day operation of the team by then. He was running the show for Cowher and Tomlin.
