Yes, Warren fumbles more than Harris but because he isn't more fumble prone than the average back then it is really not a big deal.

The Pollard thing would make sense if he actually was the "3rd down back" in Dallas last year, but he wasn't any everyone knows that. He got 20 less touches than Elliott did for the year, so he was less the "3rd down back" but starter 1A and 1B. Also, Pollard has 40 more carries this year than last year, so it isn't a volume thing causing his YPC to drop. Pollard's situational usage is VERY similar to last season, he is just not having a great year. This is a terrible example to use to support your case. Lots of fans have absolutely no idea what they are talking about and rely solely on numbers/statistics, and sadly you fell into this trap. The numbers "look" like they support your case, but the reality is that there is zero correlation at all.

Warren doesn't have a high YPC because he gets 13 yards on 3rd and 17 draw plays all game. I gave highly specific individual runs that were big plays by Warren on 1st and 2nd down in running situations, as well as ones in 3rd and 4th and short in obvious running situations... and you ignored it completely. It was actual, factual evidence that proved this wrong and you didn't acknowledge it. The truth is that Warren gets plenty of usage in running situations and he excels there too. This really isn't that hard to see and I'm not sure why you're not able to grasp it even when someone spells it out and whacks ya in the face with it lol

Warren's YPC is higher because he breaks longer runs more frequently. Him and Harris get stopped for no gain or a loss the same amount, but when big plays are blocked for Warren gets more. That is it.

You gave a few plays from a whole damn season, and that's supposed to change my mind???
LoL. This is exactly what I'm talking about people watching football, and just going by stats. Also I said back when Elliott was still good....not last year, or do You just read what you want. Warren has about 2 carries a game in 3rd , and long, and was more before the last half of the year....you don't think that helps the ypc average You really don't know football, or you just won't admit it. It only takes one play a game to up Your yards per carry. If You watch...most of His stuffs in the backfield are when they actually run Him on 1st down....like a vast majority of Najee's carries are. It's You, and others that even got me talking bad about Warren with all Your stupid....Warren is better than Najee $hit. I personally like both for different reasons, but some of You just have to pick sides.

I was relieved when Warren didn't fumble the ball on that terrible jet sweep call near the goal line. I know he was having a bad night when I cheered an 8 yard loss instead of a fumble.

    1. No, I know you're too stubborn to change your mind haha I was just pointing out that some of the BIGGEST plays by Warren this year have been in obvious running situations. It was relevant because it refuted your point that most of his yardage comes in obvious passing downs.
    2. Well, then you just cherry picked a year where Pollard had a high YPC as a "3rd down" back and completely ignored the year where he got starter touches and averaged the same YPC as before. Not a good look.
    3. Yes, I am aware that it only takes one play to up a YPC. Its not like guys like Chubb and Henry get to average 4.6 and 5.2 YPC for their career without big plays. Its why Najee doesn't have a high YPC. His longest play in his career is 37 yards. Chubbs longest play per year goes 92,88,59,70,41 and Henry's goes 75,99,74,94,76,56,63. Harris either needs to hit more big plays or take less stuffed plays.
    4. I am also aware that Warren and Najee are different styled backs. They do different things well, thus making "better" a lot more subjective. Warren is a guy that I think could easily be a Ekeler, Kamara, Jones-Drew type guy if we just give him the ball more. Harris is just a big dude that is somewhere in the middle of the pack among starters in the NFL. I like Warren's game better and I think our offense would do better if we took touches from Najee and gave them to Warren as it did for the majority of the season this year. I think only a few teams have a guy like Warren, Ekeler, Kamara, Gibbs, etc. while pretty much the entire league has a dude that is close to what Harris brings to the table. There is still a time and a place for guys like Najee (yesterday's game being one of those games), but I just don't get as hyped up for Najee as some.

The MAIN disdain is just how much of a disappointment he's been given his draft position. Not many backs get picked there, so you expect them to be a high end player and Najee just isn't. If he was a 3rd or 4th round pick I doubt there is a soul who would be upset about the player he turned into. He just wasn't worth the price we paid to get him.

Clearly Warren had a rough game but unless I missed it, up to this point I've never seen anyone on this message board question his ball security. Now it's a problem all of a sudden?

Nah. Just busting balls of a few who thought he needed to be RB#1. He and Harris compliment each other well and it’s working just fine the way it is.

Gotcha and my statement wasn't for anyone in particular. I assumed you were talking about this one game.

There was a week where Tomlin named him number one, maybe you should bust Tomlins balls, too.

I don’t understand why people get so bent out of shape by fans thinking one player is better than another. Is everyone on this team on equal footing talent wise? No one is better than the next? So bizarre how people are responding to this.

I don’t have a problem with someone’s opinion on it. I just get sick of people going on and on about it. Like their lives depend on it.
