He’s been to 6 training camps

There are so many reps they bring in a 4th quarterback

    He’s had plenty of chances

If you don’t play well in practice it makes no sense to put you in a game

As we do from time to time…but we’re still on speaking terms. :thumbs up:

(You see class, it is possible to disagree without being disagreeable.)

I watched his presser and it just seems he has a hard time giving Mason credit. It's my perception of it but that's how it comes across to me.

Only thing I can say in Tomlin`s defense is there is no way of knowing Mason would have played as well as he has.

Tell me of the golden chances. Cause we can go back in the history of this ver6 board and see posts I made on how masons footwork in the pocket got so much better then his first 2 years... he was clearly the best qb in my eyes last preseason and was good this preseason or why else was he kept? Something was up with all this to keep a qb you drafted what 5 years ago and then sign the worst freaking piece of garbage qb to where black and gold since cliff stout missed the punching bag and htt the wall.... golden chances??? You gotta be a blind Pitt ran

    6

    I repeat 6 seasons

And yes I conceded he has been better than average in 3 games this year

But people have stated he hasn’t been treated fairly or given a chance

    That is untrue

Seems like a nice guy saw an interview locally with him yesterday

Said all the right things and nothing but good stuff about the Steeler organization

    I wish him well

I’ll repeat 6 years he’s been on this team

    6 training camps

    6 years of OTA

Exactly what part did you miss

Not to mention he had been in Canada's offense for 2 years before they signed Trubisky and drafted Pickett.

Can't speak for anyone else but there are posts on here where I was saying Mason should be the guy before Mirch signed. I wanted to ride with Mason for a year and draft a QB if he failed. I didn't like any QB in the 22 draft.

He has done exactly what they needed, throw well against a couple of terrible defenses and do just enough in the rain last night. The challenge will be a lot tougher next week whether it is Buffalo or Kansas City. He is going to have to play his best game as a pro for the Steelers to have a shot.

very few of us saw Mason improving from what we say early on in his career - it is what we like to call a "most pleasant surprise"

Trubisky - on the other hand, many of us knew he sucked well before he ever donned a Stiller uniform!!

I made more than few negative comments about Mason in the past I thought he was slow to make his reads and sometimes stared down his targeted WR.

Now I see a different QB he seems calmer in the pocket and has figured out you have to take that extra split second sometimes.

I know it was two games against opponents with bad defenses and a game against a team resting players but its not like they can rest their entire lineup.

What Mason has done in the last three games I don t see it happening with Mitch or Kenny being the starter neither showed any ability to get the ball downfield and most important score.

I'm not sure. It's just informational in nature.
