Playoffs!!!

Our last playoff win was January 15th 2016, against the Chiefs in round 2 of the playoffs. If Rudolph can pull off a round 1 win, it becomes very hard to envision a scenario where he doesn't get multiple contract offers in the off season. I would not expect crazy amounts by any means, but the Steelers will have to put more money on the table if they want to keep him. As for development of Pickett, it seems the height of folly for that to become a part of the decision making process unless you are totally giving up on the current season.

It is a challenge to make it to the playoffs. 14 out of 32 teams make it each year. You can't throw away any chance having made that first cut to get there. Ironically, in the hard to find stats......Kenny is probably still the leader on longest active streak without an interception. I think he was a bit over 200 last I found something.

 

Even if Tomlin starts Mason, he is still a clown. That has already been established.

 

The Jags lost 5/6 coming down the stretch to choke a playoff spot away. A team with an offense and qb friendly coach with a franchise qb in place. How unfortunate.

If MT even entertains putting Pickett as starter, then he needs a lot of help mentally. But there is always that possibility. Wasn’t he a big Pickett man when he was in college?

Im all for Mason starting in the playoffs. Now defenses can’t crowd the box and stop the run because of his potential to throw the ball downfield. That being said, I’m still not drinking the Kool-aid. Still, nothing would make me happier than seeing Mason continue this roll he’s on.

 

And ruin the remainder of his career

Would be foolish not to. Even if he's secretly told KP he's QB1 in the future, you have to go with the hot hand.

Might want to check the stats on that. He was still better than all 3 QB's we have now - combined. Not saying he was anywhere the gunslinger he was prior to the injury, but he still lit up the stats the following season.
