I looked on a Ratbirds forum last night to get their take on the game. Of course, this was a nearly meaningless game for them, as they are already in the playoffs and get a week off as well. Many of the Ratbird fans were angry that they did not beat the Steelers, and criticize Harbaugh for his extreme stupidity, which is obvious to all these guys sitting in bars in Baltimore or living in mom’s basement.
Meanwhile, on this board, many Steelers fans also seem incapable of simply enjoying the win. A win in a very meaningful game should make us happy, but for some of us, it doesn’t.
Many Steelers fans were angry that they beat the Ratbirds without Pickens getting a catch, or because TOMLIN beat them, or for some other reason. They criticize Tomlin for his extreme stupidity, which is obvious to all these guys sitting in bars in Pittsburgh or living in mom’s basement.

Is this what we have become?

You’ve been around here long enough to know this isn’t exactly new. Steelers could win the Super Bowl and some fans will find something to complain about.

Just another thread complaining about people who complain. This isn't exactly new either.

Seems like a lot on here would only be happy if the QB went 30-30-500 yards-6 TD’s, Warren and Najee both had 100 yards and the D played a shut out, and they were the coach.

This place would be pretty boring if we all just held (virtual) hands singing kumbaya.

It’s a message board, it’s a place to cheer, vent, compliment, criticize and generally discuss all things Steelers good and bad.

I am UNHAPPY when my/our/the Steelers are not feared around the NFL...and we haven't been for at least a decade. I do agree, we're still a tick above mediocre or maybe just mediocre, but this is Steelers country, mediocrity is like finishing 0-17. It's good there is a high bar. If you want low bars where EVERYONE is satisfied with 9-8 and 10-7 seasons and quick playoff exits, then go be a Brown or Lions fan (and they both might have raised their own bars this year...a LONG TIME coming for those poor fans).

So yes, we're spoiled, the ones of us that complain about .500 records and playoff humiliations, but would you rather have no complainers and be discussing who to draft at pick #3 in the upcoming draft? Be glad us whiners are on here...it's a GOOD SIGN!

Some people live happy lives so they don’t need to ***** and moan so there are less proportionally of their posts they look and move on

Some people have miserable lives and bitching and moaning is all they can do to get attention

There are a lot of them on social media and equally so here

I’ve noticed over the years the number of trolls and miserable people here has drastically increased and the number of good posters seem to have backed off

    It is unfortunate

I'm sure if they win the SB, SDOT will be mad b/c the Steelers would have a worse draft pick. Is he even still around? Haven't seen anything from him in awhile, or did I put him on block and forget about it?

I mean, I still want to beat our rivals even in meaningless games. Its not that weird to me that some of the fans were upset they lost to us. Steelers fans are also allowed to be upset about certain things in wins, because it is never perfect and there are always things that annoy people about the team that they devote a large portion of time to every year. Its just passion and people have different ways in which they express their passion.

These things are good for football and good for the teams/league too... Without all these passionate, die hard fans, the league and teams don't grow/make as much money.

I am not feeling doom or gloom. I am thankful and grateful the Steelers made the playoffs after losing to Patriots and Cardinals.
