Why always wait until we have the back against the wall....

and that we have no longer control of our destiny to play the best football of the year

It happens this year, it happened last year and it happens in 2013 and even in 2009 (after not 5 games losing streak)... It's so frustrating after that!

 

Tomlin has said many times early in seasons that early games don't matter. I couldn't disagree with him more. A couple of earlier game wins would be having a huge impact right now, as they have at the end of several other seasons in the last 5 years.

 

As a 51 year veteran of following this team, I can tell you that it also happened in

1976, 1984, 1989, 1993, 2005...
