What's Cookin? sea pigeon edition?

Here’s one of my family’s traditional recipes:

Wet Bread

2 slices bread
Sandwich filling (optional)

1. Place slices of side-by-side bread on counter.
2. Realize counter is wet.
3. Adopt expression of disgust, angrily throw bread slices in trash.

Extra points if those were the last two slices of bread.

 

If you aren’t on the beach of the Bering Sea why eat frozen king crab when you can get something that just came out of the ocean this morning

 

Cause I’m just a dumb tourist at a southern beach and my wife hates coldness.

When I was in 3rd grade, we lived about 4 houses away from a mushroom farm. It was pretty bad sometimes.

I lived on a hill above stock yards slaughter houses a rendering plant and a tannery

And that was next to the Heinz vinegar plant

Now I live next to a dairy farm that uses my property last year they put down 160,000 pounds of manure on a cornfield right next to my house

 

Butane torch too
Although i once put em in the salad spinner.

 

I've lived by all of them at one time , or another....well not the vinegar plant. A chicken houses on a hot humid day beats all of them to live by.

I live near a dairy recycling farm. They convert spoiled milk, ice cream and the like into animal feed.

When the wind blows the wrong direction, it REEKS.

 

There is a crematorium a few miles from me in a residential neighborhood

That makes me go hmmm

 

Does Guisseppes still go HAM for Steelers games? That place was my first experience at a Steelers bar.

 

In addition to the mushrooms I mentioned earlier, we're also going to be having shrimp with cocktail sauce, sushi, and my wife is making lamb stew.

 

My dad lives in Ormond Beach, not far from you.

 

Good news is I get to watch the game

Bad news is it’s because my wife is sick and currently doing her best to share it with me

I could go to a local bar (local means 8 miles away) but drinking and driving on New Year’s Eve has long since been off of my to do list

Hey if you see this could you give me a brief description of how you make your crabcakes. No biggie but I'm getting laughed at for using Stovetop cornbread. My sisters are taking great pleasure making fun of my attempt.

 

That is my problem. I can go to a bar 5 miles away but it will be packed with drunk Eagle fans and I'm a bit old to deal with that.
