I still don't understand why they called the illegal touching by Number 70.

I didn't see #70 ever touch the ball. They had no problem with #68 catching the ball, I am assuming #68 reported in; but what did #70 do to draw the penalty?

 

I think he lined up incorrectly

Well it seems 2 Lions reported, Ref only heard one.

Bad mistake, Refs blew it.

 

Just ask the Lineman what happened but the NFL doesn’t want the truth to come out I guess.

 

That may be correct. The announcers were talking over the referee when he was explaining the call. So, it might have been the announcers that were saying he illegally touched the ball #68, while the referee was saying that #70 had lined up illegally.

 

Oh Lions coach just said two payers can’t report.

Edit: now a rules guy says two players reporting is allowed.

Because 70 “reported”(which he didn’t) he also got a penalty flag for reporting and then being covered up on the line.

I will be pulling hard for a Lions/Browns SB. Not sure but I think the oddity of it would be a boast for the NFL.

 

i guess I am not use to the Dan Campbell thought on coaching. This
is the first time I have seen the Lions this year, from what the announcers commented on
they go for it on fourth alot.

 

This was the same crew we had in the Jags game. The one with the girl with the long blonde ponytail who called Seumalo offsides that took away a FG made by Boswell.
