Here is the list of finalists. Semifinalists Hines Ward and James Harrison did not make the cut.

Jared Allen, Jahri Evans, and Fred Taylor made it but not Hines and Harrison? What a joke.

Kudos to Peppers, always thought he should have played in the 70's.

There are guys who you know are HOF, no debate, usually 1st ballot. Then a slew of guys who could, even should be in, but timing and numbers are against them. As a homer do i want them to be in, certainly, but Steeler HOF fatigue just may be against them. Not fair, but every year fans from many teams list guys who have been missed in their opinion, and in many cases they have a point. There are many reasons they should be in, but when you say Fred Taylor, what a joke, then you indeed are a homer. Taylor's (for one) while missing a ring, has a career worthy of HOF.

Taylor is no more deserving than our guys.

I think there should be a HOF for post season, a HOF for the regular season, and one for all around, and it actually say that on the bust. I have seen too many guys get it , and have never done anything outside of the regular season.

Not surprised for Ward. A little bit for Harrison though I believe he gets in before Ward does. Very seldom do WRs ever go on their First Ballot. This isn't Hines first time but I am now convinced he isn't making it in terms of the Modern Pro Fooball HOF finalists.

Only path for him is the Senior Committee vote at this point. The amount of HOF worthy WRs isn't getting any smaller anyways.

Don’t think I’m a homer and don’t care. They should both be in.

Steelers fans know why because we are more intimate with their contributions but still know they made enough splash league wide. Major reasons for Super Bowl winning teams.

If they don’t ever get in it’s wrong.

That might be correct, but saying he is no more deserving than other who may be qualified, is far different than saying 'what a joke' when he was chosen for the finalists. I don't have a vote, and no one here does, but in the politics of choosing the finalists, our guys (while possibly deserving) did not make the list, others (so possibly less or more deserving, are on the list and still others are not. Life is full of tough **** moments, this is one of them.

In my opinion ward definitely deserves to get the nod to the HoF. His stats alone make him worthy especially when you look at who he's above in the major categories. Wards 12,083 yards is more than michael Irvin. His 85 td's is more than Wayne, holt, monk, Irving, Lofton. wards 1000 receptions has only been done by 13 other nfl players in the history of the nfl so many other receivers already in the hall are below him in that category. Not to mention he did all this on a run heavy team and without a great qb until later in his career. Plus the best blocker at that position ever. I will tell anyone that will listen he deserves to be in canton. Anyway was glad to see peppers getting to be a finalist I always admired his play, he was a great all around defender that was pretty effective pretty much his entire career.
