I don't know if anyone noticed because He had a big game, but He didn't play as a starter the whole game. They kept pulling Him out, but people didn't notice this because of what He did while in there.

Well, it works both ways. Other players that do everything that is asked of them without making waves and complaining have to wonder to themselves who is in charge of the asylum. Sorry, but I don't want a situation where one player like Aaron Rodgers is basically running the show.

I know I have an old school attitude about this subject, but I stand by my opinion. I have yet to see an argument that proves where anything positive comes from this long-term. All Tomlin is potentially creating is a situation where Pickens thinks he can do and say whatever the hell he wants. All I know is if I was the shot caller, he would have been deactivated.

I would of benched him for the first series so he is not announced as a starter just to give him a reminder , sure he played well yesterday but its easy to be a good team player when you get 2 TD's and 195 yds.

What happens the next time he has to put up with bad QB play or gets blanketed and is held to 2 catches for 17 yds. Is he going to sulk and give up and not do what he is not only expected to do but paid very well to do those things like block or draw coverage away from a team mate.

He has a talent no doubt but he could still be a cancer in the locker room if things are not going his way. Last week with the Ole blocking whiff and jogging towards the bench after the INT were bad enough but the week or so before that when Diontae got a TD the one replay shows #14 just walking back to the bench, no involvement with his team celebrating.

He had a big day but none of that proves he is not a head case and a piss poor team mate.

For the first half of AB's career he was a hard working team player staying late after practice and catching a 100 balls from the jugs machine to improve his craft. Everything I heard about AB in his first 4 or 5 yrs was he was the hardest working player on the team , other than James Harrison.

It was later in his career after a few concussions and after Burfict broke his brain that he went completely off the rails.

NO REASON YET to trade him. one of the best talents in football, we have zero other talent at WR, he needs coaching, mentoring

You know how many play at not full speed the entire game? If you did, you would lose your mind. You gonna bench Johnson? Bench Harris? Bench all those whiff blocks?

Pickens issue has been severally blown out of the water. And I can't believe some of y'all have let the media; of all people, get to telling you what to believe and ignore facts.

And instead of going, "that's awesome Tomlin fixed it. Or Pickens fixed it without being benched", you elect to cry to where we would have not had a post season.

That's your opinion, and You are very welcome to it. Although....S. Holmes, and Michael Ervin would like to say Hello. Both who were problem children on two different teams that both won SBs. Don't believe for a second that S. Holmes wasn't a problem before they let him go. Oh O. Beckham is waving also.

I'm still not buying what anyone is selling defending Tomlin's decision to not discipline Pickens. Yes, players take plays off. I know that. Pickens is blatantly pouting and generally acting like a disinterested observer when he isn't getting the ball. Tomlin has a track record of drafting and signing low character clowns that he thinks he can handle. And to a point, he has gotten some production out of them. Do you people really want to see another situation play out like it did in the last days of Brown and Bell? I don't. Good football players with solid character can be found. I'm tired of the Steelers being the land of misfit toys. If some of you think it's okay to have some wanker on the team that might implode anytime things aren't going their way with no consequences, then so be it. I don't. I've had my fill of the Brown's, Bryant's and Mike Mitchell's of the league.

So you want us to lose? And Pickens was not right, yet you despise Tomlin?

If they would've benched him for the first series, then you don't get that 86 yard TD by Pickens on the first series.

I wonder what his attitude will be like next week in Seattle where he might only have 5 targets? Or no touch downs and he may have to block?

Of course, I don't want the Steelers to lose. I'm fine with the team having characters. I'm tired of seeing selfish jerks with no regard for anything other than their own bottom line; players that have no character or allegiance to anyone other than themselves. Let them go preen and act out for the Jerry Jones of the world. I want guys that want to win football games and that understand when they win enough, they'll make their money, whether here or elsewhere.

Maybe some didn't notice because when He was out there He was producing.

I’d be curious to see what his snap count was compared to previous weeks.

That's because like me you're old school. Lessons that need to be learned for this new generation that believes it is more important to pad their stats than play as a team.

I was/am for benching Pickens and DJ.
But here's the deal: When you play as Pickens did, then people don't notice as much. They love the splash and the FF scores and forget about yesterday.
There's no excuses for his prior play, he must do better.
The game Pickens had against the Bengals is really what I expect from him.
And no, QB had little to do with it, the other two have thrown at him deep or in clutch situations. (Let's not cook the facts to suit the purpose.)
If Pickens and DJ continue to play to expectations, I'll gladly have my crow served with an extra side of Soy Sauce.

He did in Tampa. Peeled his shirt off on the field and threw it into stands and then proceeded to exit the field lol

He definitely should have been benched. He needed it, and the team needed to see it. Now he feels validated in his actions, and his teammates see that there are no real consequences for actions like his, at least not for certain players. This is how divas are encouraged and resentment brews amongst the hard workers.

At about 7:30 of the second quarter Mason ran for a first down

If Pickens made any attempt to block the safety who tackled Mason he may have scored

So I’m not on the yeah for Pickens one day band wagon

He should have been benched for the first quarter

If stated above he is playing in a limited vases it should continue until he learns to play football as a professional
